Yeah you're right, standards have dropped. I recently took my mom to this place near her house that supposedly had an amazing Cuban sandwich. The sandwiches had almost nothing in them (even the double meat ones) and tasted like vinegar only. We were so disappointed, yet somehow the place is always packed.

Hahaha... God's work indeed! Tried it at home... Gotta tell you, those smashed onion in the meat... gives it the unique McDonald's flavor I was never able to reproduce at home before... Amazing!!

@Thor u can easily burn the outside lol. Whole point of a smash Burger is the charred crispy crust in the outside so good luck making that medium rare that doesn't even make sense

I heard Silverlake and “sells out” makes sense. Los Angeles has Tons of better burger joints. These “pop-ups” don’t hold a candle to the places I know. It’s best I keep it a secret though lol 😆

Silverlake is more about local community support. They've heard of in n out. But choose to stay close to home for what they hope is a good meal.
