Agreed! This needs to happen. I've ordered one myself and will look into the upgrade possibilities at some point. Also ordered proper shocks and driveshafts for it.

I think it comes with a 2 in 1 receiver/esc so i wonder if there will be possible to fit a seperate receiver and esc in it for a brushless system and perhaps 3s or 4s.

After watching mutiple video's of you, this little Rampage convinced me to order my first RC since 1987. Nowadays I have kids that are the same age as I had back in 1987, but my biggest fail was that once it was broken, your car was done. These HBX cars aren't, just fix them and go on. I really hope that you test more of de HBX stuff, love them as much as the WLToys I see on KZread, but a review of the HBX Vortex 2w dune buggy would be awesome for example. The only downside is the 2wd i guess. Thank you for making these video's (Y)

can tell they have different pan, but the little HBX a lot like WLtoys A979-a version? 10:13 I think I like the WLtoys shocks a lot more... I used 10w40 and 40w front+rear. may have a preference for the A979-a only being 30 bucks free shipping too from Amazon. parts availability is also really good for the A949-979 stuff.

Apart from the shocks popping out, I lost the steering rods a few times.. but you just click m back in! Amazing little car! My cheetah broke more on me :)

@jack keller , all you need is 2 small round neoprene rubber servo grommets. put them onto a small screwdriver shaft, with a hobby knife carefully slice out the short center tube sections, the 4 buttons are now shock seals, install wet with oil, flat side to the shock body, don't over tighten the cups that thread onto the bottoms, mildly finger snug is good. the shocks ARE made to be oil filled, they just didn't bother to put seals into them. for the fronts I used 80wt automotive gear oil, 10w40 in the rears, can drop it 18" and it doesn't bounce at all (its a Virhuck V-01 but same/clone with 390 power). just saved ya 14+ bucks if you follow those directions.

I love that little truck! Could you do a video where you compare this little truck to one of the wltoys a959's ? I have a a959, but i kinda wanna get one of these, haha🤘

the reason why it's so hard to break the hbx rampage is because the car is so light there's not much pressure coming down on the parts so it won't break as easily unless pressure is applied to the parts say if you step on it

RC Bashing Boi rip my a959😂😂 there light asf hit some grass to day going full speed servo plug rip out and the shock tower broke yet here's this little thing taking a beating I mean I do beat the balls outta my a959

Would it be possible for you to measure the ZOP batteries? Their website says they are 155mm long I think? That is just a bit too long for my truck if that is the actual measurement.

I have made a decision to buy a E-Revo 2.0 as I'm not really satisfied with the Arrma as I have bent the drive shaft twice threw out ESC twice and broken a bolt in a shock and now reverse is not working and had to reglue the rear tyres as they blew the bead.
