As a Dominican, I can firmly say that Acuario cafe has my favorite Dominican food in the city outside of the uptown/Bronx area. Everyone who works there has always been super nice and I consider it to be one of my favorite places to get food in NYC for sure. Of course, Los Tacos and Jollibee also have a place in my heart as well.

Obviously I’m late. But as a Californian from the Central Valley (California). with taco trucks in every single city, in a 50 mile radius. I just had these tacos yesterday. They’re definitely worth the experience of trying. The Al Pastor didn’t taste like Al Pastor though. The asada was legit

I told my fiancé exactly what your wife told you about Los Tacos No. 1. I grew up between the border cities of Tijuana and San Diego, and these tacos are the best I’ve had in NY. The tortillas are handmade which in my opinion is the most important part of a taco. 🌮❤️

Now that is some real New York food!

Thanks for the recommendation on Los Tacos No. 1! We are visiting the city this weekend and my Mexican husband proclaimed the tacos the best he’s had outside of Mexico.

Hi John and Ben, I knew you were gonna mention that hidden place which you mentioned in your previous videos. I tried Pizza Suprema back in 2014. It was good. They were on the one of the best pizzas on the list in NY back in 2013.

All of these places are on point. Acuario Cafe though....that's a true hidden gem. My co-worker led me on to it & I was hooked ever since. You're spot on about getting there at a certain time though b/c even though it may be hidden, it's well known & they run out quick! That's how you know it's good! Great video as always!

I've been to Aquario Cafe last time I was in NYC. In 2019 thanks to John. I lived the real experience of the worker because every time I go to NY from Italy I want to live real life feeling like a resident and not a tourist

Great ideas! I always try to visit Suprema whenever in town. It was my 1st NY slice, because of a video with that pizza tour guy. That chicken sammich looked really crispy and delicious too.

I wouldn’t call this a “cheap” eat but when it comes to VALUE, it’s De Mole in Williamsburg for me. Unlimited drinks and Mexican brunch dishes for two hours for $49. The quality of the food was excellent and the atmosphere matched. Highly recommend y’all give it a go.

Great spots, I’ve been to all of them except the Dominican spot. They were all amazing. I need to try that Dominican spot. PS The braised short rib empanada it’s definitely amazing.

for me, it would cost $17 to get into the city for a $5 meal
