Something I have been meaning to do for a long time is get rid of the nasty wiper on this little UP. After picking one up from Dan at @KillAllWipers up in Cumbria during show season, it was only a matter of time before this little GTI got de-wipered… and my god it looks SO much better!

Good luck seeing out the Back in bad weather!. 5 minutes in mine and I can’t see a thing!. The wiper is there for a reason!.

Interesting that after the wiper delete the VW badge looks even bigger and stands out more, I’d be tempted to remove it or replace it with a smaller black one or instead of fitting a smaller one to the centre fit a smaller chrome one on the right hand side to aesthetically balance the GTi badge on the left.

The later pedal sets fit aswell, fitted them to my Up Gti
I do love a “shall I just pull it” moment, 50/50 if something will brake 😂

What a wally removing the rear wiper because it looks good, lord help people like you , how did the first trip in the rain go ? the UP like most hatches get the tailgate and rear window filthy. :) I'd take the front off as well lol your girlfriend has a lot to put up with.
With the pedals, I’ve read too that the mk.1 TT pedals fit, but have also heard that they can wobble as the fitments aren’t identical. Would you mind confirming if this is the case as this is something I want to do too!

Definitely wobble, gonna get some tape/silicone just to help keep them in place.
Is this legal in your country?
Came here to check the process before I take my wiper delete bung out and put the wiper back on. Now I've ordered a kill all wipers kit instead...talk about a 180 😂

Really freshens up the back end!
I'd remove the VW badge, too. Maybe even the GTI badge on the rear.
Will you spray some sort of rain repellent on it? I would

Bought a set of pedals from Germany got the clutch and brake on but the accelerate pedal does not fit. Got the mk1 audi tt set. The accelerate pedal is much smaller won't even fit around the up pedal

Mine are mk1 TT, just got to be patient and stretch it on 😂

The later pedal sets fit aswell...a little double sided tape on the clutch pedal...and the throttle pedal needs bending a little
How much were the foot pedals, definitely fancy doing that to my up gti

I got them them from vw :) same as a mk4 golf Im pretty sure. Usually the the audi/vw near me are the exact same price for parts either way
Your DIY de-wiper looks good. Great job. However, not very practical if you lived in Canada, which I do. Cheers.
