My personal favourite character is Gantetsusai I find his ending was really humbling and I’m happy on what he decided to do in the end. His relationship with Fuchi is one of the best in the series and you can really see his real self with his conflict with Shugen

Fr, Gantetsusai and Fuchi definitely is the best duo, their chemistry is better than Sagiri and Gabimari as well as the bandit brothers.

Hell's Paradise is my favourite out of the dark trio; the manga is a must read and have one of the best characters like Jikka, Gabimaru, Shija, Sagiri, Shugen etc.

HELL NO. I read the whole entire thing and I'll be honest it was pretty mid. Two of the characters that make it to the very end have no development or even any backstory.

The ability for Yuji Kaku to flesh out almost the entire main cast with only 127 chapters will always be impressive to me. Most series with chapter numbers way higher than that will introduce a character, give them one significant moment in a fight with maybe a short backstory only to never be used again. Those characters aren’t really fully used/fleshed out and just exist. Too many shounen do that and I’m glad that Kaku broke that. Not to mention with the goated female characters which more shounen NEED. Edit: you and Ronin need to do more vids together. The duo between you two and the way you explain things👍

The conversations around Hell's Paradise feel so different, compared to JJK & CSM, and it's probably because those two are still going, whereas Jigokuraku is complete

Hell’s Paradise deserves its place it’s in the dark trio. It’s themes are top tier, the art is visually stunning, and it’s characters are all so lovable.

this manga and anime is hands down the absolute best shonen of recent times, nothing beats it in terms of story, characters, and power systems. it is a true masterpiece that knew not to drag the story on and ended it at the perfect point, it is both a must read and must watch.

Been waiting for this ever since your first Hell's paradise video. It's criminal how almost no one talks about this gem of a manga, it's short but amazing.

Hell's Paradise needs more recognition fr. Sad that jjk and chainsaw are getting more recognition and this is kinda slept on

I was really sad when Yuji Kaku's second series was cancelled bcus it really cool but it was kind of unconventional for shonen jump so I see why it wasn't popular.

Ya'll can correct me if Im wrong because I finished this manga around 6 months ago, but I loved how Choze and Gabimaru to conquer Tan (for me simbolism of life, even though its energy) is the fact that they convey on the truth that they have to overcome it because they do have something to lose.

Yeah to me the ploy suffers from the amount of volumes it has, it gets to the point and I appreciate that but it definitely suffers from being rushed.

The animation doesn't seem to be doing as good as csm and jjk. They focused more on the sceneries and backgrounds which is a good decision to give justice on the great manga panels. But the characters and their movements...uhh anyways I'm not an animator so who am I to speak. They also kinda changed the pacing like when some scene is supposed to be shown before this other scene.

Sum of the design are simple but it’s the style that makes them stand out too~ the author is great at design; like the white horn girl who’s a yokai mob boss daughter she’s cool

Hells paradises cast had me so attached bro, I haven’t been attached like that in a looong time. The writing is amazing and all of the characters are written with such care. More than csm and jjk imo.

My two favourite moments in Hell's paradise were gabimaru sleeping and gabimaru laughing at the end in the boat

while reading, one of the characters that i thought would not have as much focus, was yui, obviously i don't think she can be compared to the other characters that were on the island, but when she was introduced i just wondered how important she would be for the story (i mean. gabimaru. Yk) but i was surprised that she was a well handled character, her appearance during the story was something that gave me satisfaction :) i wanted to mention this because she's like. gabimaru's goal ? so if she hadn't had a good amount of depth it would've been a bit annoying (for me)

I can’t get into JJK, I tried multiple times but could only get to vol 3. I’ll try again at some point because I have up to vol 18.

I think that what plays into the antagonistic forces lacking too is that they're more like organisms than anything their focus seems to be more akin to predators chasing prey if that makes sense

@@jordankelly4684 Seinen is a step above dark shounen. Berserk, Blade of the Immortal, Gantz, etc are much more dark and extreme than the series I listed.

It's interesting talking about Shonen female characters, I think it all depends on cast. If you have a large cast of female characters and they're either boring, hardly given screentime, or their entire character arc is centered around the main protagonist, then the author has failed at writing great female characters. Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on titan, Bleach, Chainsaw Man, Full Metal Alchemist, Yu Yu hakusho, and One piece all have a large stack of great female characters that have distinct personalities, character arc, and actually contribute a lot to the story. And there's quality over quantity, where there aren't many great female characters in a story but the few great female characters they have stand out tremendously.

I can promise you that the female characters in Hells paradise ducking suck. The shinobi girl has close to no backstory, little pink haired girl is just a classic damsel in distress and the main girl is legit the most boring character in all of anime.

Not gonna lie maki and Gojo were literally the only two characters I could muster up the energy to care about when getting into jujutsu Kaisen shop

I really couldn't get into any of these three series. My favourite cast in recent shounen is by far "Souboutei Must Be Destroyed". If we count light novels "The Most Notorious Talker Runs the World's Greatest Clan" gets pretty close though.

I love this series and I'm glad the anime didn't turn out to be like Records of Ragnarok. I held off on watching it for awhile because I didn't want to witness it get butchered until I saw a KZread video. The manga got me hooked right away unlike JJK or CSM (although I'm enjoying CSM Part 2 atm). The island was intriguing and the characters were fun. It's a shame that the main villain and the conclusion were anti-climatic. It was not a perfect series and didn't gain as much popularity as JJK or CSM but it was fun overall and my favorite out of the 3!

Don’t even get me started on poor Inumaki. He’s one of the most popular characters in the series, but he’s only appeared a couple of times in the manga since the part of the story that’s already been adapted in Season 1 of the anime. He’s basically just a background character now. 🫤

JJK has this huge female character problem a lot of shounen have. Given it was teased they would be better written than usual and then it rewerted had me checked out. Chainsaw man does a much better job having both good females and males. We have Denji, Aki, Power. And Makima one of the best villains in recent shounen. Hells Paradise is obviousely the best cause it can get deeper into the characters. Gabimaru and Sagiri are 2 of the best recent anime protagonists.

The thing that sets chainsawman apart from other shounen is how realistic most of the characters feel. For the most part people act like normal humans in the strange situation theyre living in, they accept or despise their circumstances and find various ways to cope with it. Csm's cast isnt my favorite but deffinately very solid and well written

Hells paradise cast is amazing for what it does in a short time. But if you are fully caught up to one piece. You will know, we have characters like Doflamingo, Law, Sanji, Katakuri, Whitebeard, Shanks. Raleigh, Oden. But then again, its a personal opinion lmao
