Regarding the issue of the wires covering up the flip screen on models like the zv-e10, I alleviated this slightly by purchasing L-bracket cables.

Thank you for your Video! Is it possible you send me the OBS setting for the Sony ev-e10? I don’t get a good smooth video recording with the Cam and the Camlink. The video looks for me strange when I record in 4K. The MacBook is a M1 13.3. I thought maybe the bandwidth from the HDMI to usb and then to usb-C is the issue. I don’t know…

Spent days watching countless videos where reviwers just sit 30 minutes with the camera in their hands saying the same specs as everyone and showing a 10 seconds clip in harsh light, that's it. I get it's a vlogging camera but let's be real, lots if not the majority of content creators nowadays use the camera indoors, just like all these reviewers. Thanks for the great video 👍

Fantastic Video! Would have loved a more in depth comparison with its little Brother zv-1. do you think the Kit lens is decent enough to get Started? Or would you go for the body only version? If yes, what Lens would you recommend? Thank you for the effort!

The kit lens gets a lot of crap but to start out it's fine. Personally I'd go body only then buy the kit lens used I can get them for £50 in UK so save £50 doing it that way. But if your willing to buy the body and a nicer lens to start with, id say the first two lens most people would be looking at are the Sony 18-105 f4 and sigma 16mm f1.4 both fantastic value for the price.

Great review! I’m looking for a camera for live light board lectures that is also compatible with OBS. I can’t decide between Sony ZV-E10, Canon EOS 2000D, and CANON Powershot G7 X MARK II EU23. What would camera do you recommend?

If money's tight get the 2000d used solid camera for the mony, I'd skip the powershot entirely. If it was my choice though it would be this Sony, image quality is amazing for th money and perfect for your use case.

how come the sony A6400 is about 15fps? I've not seen streamer friends I know have that fps lag/stutter

ive left it on all day with no issues but o would recommend using a dummy battery insteady of usb c power and adding cages when realsed as both of these help reduce heat

Honestly I'd take the zv-e10 if your going for just video it's cheaper than 6400 plus it has ey-af in video and a headphone jack for monitor your subject. If you need a evf then go 6400 but I don't think it's worth the extra money if video is your primary use.

@@thefullsetup my usual case - connect with hdmi to elgato camlink 4k. ZV e10 cons, as i think, is more "bloggers" featers, like background blur, and more like this. but in my country zv e10 is not available to buy. Used a6400 kit have price 850-900$

I'm looking at getting the ZV-E10... Most of my streams go for about 2 hours. If I just kept the USB-C plugged in the whole time to keep the battery from running out, would it overheat? Just reluctant to get a cheap third-party dummy battery in case it turns out to be faulty... 👍

Its the different lenses I'm using + the 6400 is in a dofferent position to zv-e10. I've tested them a lot now and image quality between zv-e10 and 6400 are exactly the same when mounted in the same position with the same lens.

I actually ended up getting the A7 ii, I really don’t know what would be the best but I have given too much time and energy to make the right decision

with ZV - E10 you still need capture card?

There is the option to use it as a webcam but it’s 720p 30db a it still looks better than any webcam but it’s not really taking advantage of the camera’s capabilities vs a capture card. If you want a great cheap capture card check out my soomfon 4k capture card review I recently posted 😃

First review with a real USB-webcam comparison! Thank you very much!! The ZV-E10 should make a great professional webcam for Zoom, Teams etc. - it just needs another lens than the kit lens. I just don‘t get it why they don‘t support 1080p/60. USB-C 3.2 should be more than sufficient for it…

Yeah I was surprised no one showed the usb camera feature in more detail. I think we will see some 1080p 60 or at least 1080p usb camera features added to mirrorless cameras in the not so distant future.

@@eventonlinenn5743 the quality is extremely good for the money paired with an elgato camlink 4k your broadcasts will look great. Even if you where say live streaming at 1080p if push you more to setting the camera at 4k and downsampling the image I found this looks a bit sharper than just setting the camera to output at 4k. I'd recommend a dummy battery for longer broadcasts as the camera gets a bit warmer than my a6400 and also adding a cage when available will help disperse heat 😁

I feel like cheap mirrorless is kinda needed if you do talking head videos. For corner streaming any webcam works perfectly, but the full face one is a bit challenging. I am really considering this in future to chamge my 720p. Really wish price would go even chepaer haha like 500, but 700 is not just that is not lying around haha Also zv10 is cheapest of 6100 and 6400 in my country lol

Agreed webcams are perfectly fine for corner position on 720p or 1080p streams and if all you do is stream then that's all you need but like you said the investment of a camera really opens things up for you creation wise. There are some videos online on how to hack a5000 to do clean hdmi out which could be a much cheaper option.

@@thefullsetup yeah I felt it myself - when making stream with my full frame for main part and webcam for face, it really feels not enough when you go from 720p face cam to 4k main cam haha. But once in corner its good, just a bit annoying and you kinda avoid making that full face / talking head part then just due to quality. Zve10 feels like sweet option, but it could not be called cheap. It would be nice for sony to make a6100 for 400 euro because now its obsolete when this came out. If they make that I would prob grab it. But when its same price a6100 is just not bargain at all
