I like how he says oree pricing is like a step above docs but they’re like $450

So unbelievably happy that you gave it’s flowers to Oree. Those combat boots are literally my dream boot, most likely gonna buy them next week. That paycheck is gonna be gone as soon as it lands🥲 but it’s gonna be worth it

Been wanting them for too long & honestly don’t think I’ll be as happy in the end if I go for an alternative. Docs are great and timeless tho

@@memelord3348 I would get a pair of solovairs but I found new unworn docs for 120 so I was like why not. But now I’m gonna save up for the orees because I never take the cheaper route because I value quality things that last. I mainly just like the look for docs but the orees are everything I want in a boot😂 so I’m hoping they stick with oree and aren’t a limited time thing

just got my first pair of ricks early september! they’re the black tractor ones and i already feel my style is finally changing in a direction i am excited for.

The Guidi PL2s are probably fav boot ever. I got them for a crazy steal earlier this year and I still can’t believe I own a pair lol. Can’t wait to break them out properly this fall, I’m looking to get the Rick tractor boots by the end of the year. Ann D make some great combat boots also.

OMG they arrived today and are so nice. Butter soft leather, beautiful chunky square toe. Somewhere between the Tractor Bozo and the Guidi PL2 on the vibe spectrum. And pretty affordable comparably as well.

I’ve been watching for years and seeing everyone’s maturing style is so nice I highly suggest you check out more heritage brands for boots. The quality is higher and the price is lower than brands like Rick, ysl, etc. (but still a pretty penny) for most of them. A lot of them also do custom boots, so get creative! Viberg (Canadian), White’s (PNW) and Clinch (Japan) are some great ones that can be either sleek or chunky. If you want a 100% custom boot and have the patience to wait like 6 months, Benzein is a great option and you can make something that’s very close to those trendy chunky black Chelsea boots but at a way higher quality and more mature look. There’s plenty more options too but I don’t wanna go on forever!

Red Wing is a great heritage brand for high quality full leather boots that is far more affordable ($200-350) than the custom boots of Viberg and Nicks ($500+). They require quite a bit of break in due to the amount of leather in them, but something that will last and are resole-able. Solovair is good for Doc Marten style shoes that aren't low quality like Docs are. Check out roseanvil if you want to see why Docs and cheap boots are much worse than $250 boots.

out of this list i’d definitely say the bozo tractor boots are the best, extremely versatile, lots on the market if you don’t wanna pay retail, great design, great leather and LOADS of variations to choose from

I want these as well. I just can’t get past the silhouette. I already have the spiral zip creepers and I feel like the Bozo silhouette is really utilitarian and similar.

How impactful is the difference between the shoe and boot when it comes to comfort? Especially when your trousers go over them? Seems like a lot of times you’d be unable to tell which is being worn so is it all about preference or is their some big difference that I’m missing?

There’s a difference. Boots are definitely less comfortable but the type of shoes you pick can switch the type of fit you have on. So it’s less preference but more substantial.

What about 1461 quad dr martens?

I don’t like the zipper on the oreee boots ( or any boot really) and also they don’t come up high enough for me. I was looking for something closer to the Dior navigate on my journey and I have my boots now but the Oree’s never did it for me. The derby’s are cool but I have brouges now too

please do not dye those boots I see a lot of black front zips all the time that dark charcoal color is so different, almost like it's been worn for years and the black leather faded if it was me I wouldn't change it, I love that faded black color, besides how many jet black boots can one person have right 😄😄
