    nifty video n' nifty belts my man! I need a kilt made up of ONLY dangling straps, its the wave and you bet i'll be riding it. I should pick up the Orbit gear belt, its $38 (plus international shipping kms). Other than that I got a $10 cobra belt from amazon and wear it in all my tech fits. Its a nice way to spice up any tech fit. I like the belts that you featured with the small D-rings to attach some keys to.

    Best belt I own is a custom covert gun belt from Alonso Defense Group. Double thick nylon webbing, fully adjustable, and a nice cobra buckle. If you want a durable tactical belt that's going to last a very long time, gun belts are some of the best.

    I'll always prefer the DIY option over the other belts, as it's so easy to do and infinitely customizable (and also so much cheaper). I really like "Tactical Trim" as a shop for all the DIY needs (not being paid to say that. Also: I think going to a local seamstress or tailor to get a belt made is a good option if you don't have a sowing machine or needle and thread.

  • @rewind8822
    @rewind88226 жыл бұрын

    Alyx belts are literally and I do mean LILTERALLY Chinese knock-offs of the Original AustriAlpin Cobra belt. You can find the same EXACT buckle Alyx uses for their belts on Alibaba direct from the manufacturers at $1 a piece. You can even find ‘Alyx’ branded ones. AustriAlpin is designed, sourced and made in Austria. They OWN the patent for ‘cobra’ release buckles. They are the absolute real deal no bullshit buckles used by militaries around the world for their extreme load bearing performance. Don’t settle for wannabe imitators like Alyx’s fake Chinese cobra buckles. In techwear or otherwise I only settle for proven original tech such as Gore-Tex etc.

    would have to disagree with your statement about the Alyx Cordura material, the first Rollercoaster belts have a cheapish look to them I agree but the latest ones for the past year look really nice material wise they have this sort of seatbelt-ish material look to them. Kind of like the straps on the Orbit Gear bags... (You get what I mean ;) ) Anyhow just my little criticism here in other terms I love what you are doing on this channel and please do keep it up !!! Really enjoying the videos.

    nice video on a staple of the techwear accesoire arsenal. you might consider looking into the arc'teryx conveyor belt which is really stiff enough to hang some tools onto it - i always carry the cordless phone at work on that belt. did you already consider doing anything DIY related? or do you prefer to buy stuff?

    It’s a nice esthetics, tech wear, but it’s also easy to look like a douche. It’s probably easier to pull off than wearing a red leather Michael Jackson outfit but still, so easy to look like a movie extra. You should probably also be rather fit and reasonably young, can’t imagine a middle aged, overweight guy wearing a ninja outfit.
