Does the basic package include a looper, with or without a foot pedal? Also, is there afoot pedal volume control? I’m 75 years old and your sharing this information, in this way, takes the fog away from recording and helps me understand. I will get one of these setups thanks to you. Thank you for your dedication to learning. Your sharing and educational format brighten my day. Continued success in your endeavors. Mike Collins

I have the free DAW Audacity and I can make halfway decent tunes with it. I have created about 2 instrumentals and one original song with it. Sure.....it's very basic and you're not going to get high-end quality with it, but you can make stuff sound surprisingly good with it. Plus its free...that suits my level of spending. 😎🎸🎸

Im using my iPad with GarageBand, a focusrite scarlett, an mpk midi controller, and an mxl 990 microphone with a boom stand. Its been so much fun recording music, i been having a blast!! I still want to add monitors and eventually upgrade to Logic with a MacBook. 🤞

Please do a video for recording with our mobile phones only! Some people can’t afford a computer. Others want to be able to record and perform on the go. Please tell us about interface options for iPhone, apps, and how to use them to record both audio and video with a single phone. Please do this for both acoustic and electric. It would be extremely useful. Thanks! I would love to know how to connect everything in a way where I can hear music playing from my phone while I play guitar, record my guitar, and screengrab/record the audio/screen and/or record me on video on my phone. It would be useful for practicing and listening/watching back why’s I’m doing. I can’t figure how to connect my speakers, interface, guitar, and use apps all at once. There’s gotta be a way. Tyvm!

Great info for beginners. The only thing to add is room treatment. If your acoustic recordings sound bad, it's either you or the room your in. I think a lot of beginners don't appreciate the impact the room has on recording and end up being too hard on themselves. I know I fell into that trap.

:) I need all my stuff hooked back up since having to move. Some of my old interface cables got messed up. Plus I need to surgically replace my cmos battery in one of my old desktops that had the best sound mixing. I used to keep everything ready to record all the time, and was using Goldwave, which was just right for me, and screenreader accessible with both JAWS for windows and GW Micro Window Eyes. I need to chain it all together with my newer laptop, but keeping the internet only on the secure versions of Windows, and iOS. I also would like to integrate my really old Power Mac with the demo of Outspoken for Mac on it. It didn't have a ton of space on it but I could do some fun sound stuff on it, and could handle both types of files. I need to migrate stuff from all my old computers to the newest laptop. Particularly all my music stuff. Feels like I've been living in a storage room situation where you can't get much out since 2015. My acoustic guitar and this channel and a few others have been saving my life both mentally and physically (keeping me physically moving through the days, walking down the street, etc, far better than I would be without music). Basically it's always been about music, and putting it together with other people, every which way possible. I'm just in rudimentary portable mode right now. Sometimes there's just a pitch pipe, or a bus stop pole, or a pop bottle if there isn't a pitch pipe. There's still a handheld tape recorder, and a few high bias tapes. I would like to go ahead and try Reaper. I know there are scripts for using it with some screen-readers. Just another few hours of learning curve.

Hiya long time fan of yours from the other side of the pond. I know you get a million requests every day for your lessons, but I'm hoping you could possibly help me with a very special request. I'm getting married on the 29th July and my other half is a massive Mission fan. I would like to attempt to play and sing their song Tower of Strength with the help of my 2 sons and best friend. My son's are 15 and 21 both beginners on guitar and bass. Although they definitely kick my ass 🤣. I'm hoping to perform the song in front of family and friends at our reception. To say I'm bricking it is an understatement , but I'm going to try and pull it off. Marty would or could you possibly help me with this very special song. With the most utter respect and best wishes Carl. PS the other half (Hilary) is a Goth 🦇
