So funny thing about that vex interaction you had at 50:36, leveled vex increases your opponents gloom as well as your own. Though im not sure if you and your opponent both have leveled vex if you do even more gloom but im sure someone will test it eventually.

In truth, the original comment can be read as praising Mog for filling a vital role in the community for so long, as well as expressing relief that role will continue to be filled following his departure.

Snnuy covered almost everything in his video, but there are some points worth pointing out. Shyvana Morgana Elder dragon is a deck that often plays defensively in the early turns and wins the board after t6 and onward by slamming big bois your opponent cant deal with. This also matters for building the deck: Contrary to many decks in LoR, having the early game in your collection is more important then having the late game. Apart from the 1 copy of ED, it really doesnt matter that much if you dont have any of the 6+ cost cards in this deck and they are the last units you should be crafting, as almost any 6+ cost will do, dragons are just more preferabe for the synergies in the deck itself. If you dont have Morgana yet, thats perfectly fine, look to replace her with shyvana and screeching dragon for the time being and your deck will function perfectly fine. Poro king is a deck with small fluffy bois that grow big. Its one of the best decks for someone that is pretty new to the game, because mostly linear and focusses on its own gameplan rather then your opponents, making it easier to to learn what your opponents deck do and what cards to be afraid of. The crafting and mulligan order here is: Poro snacks, Poro king -> the poros in this deck -> 2 Aurora porealis and 2-3 Formula -> the remainder of spells and units. 1 offs of random 1 cost poro's are fine to slot in for cards you dont have as they help leveling your Poro King. Ashe Vex is a control deck with very strong mid game and a very powerful finisher. Your board is less important then their board because of harrowing, but vex fearsome beatdown is something that will often just wins game by themselves. As for crafting this deck is a little bit more difficult as most of the epics and champions are necessary for the deck to function and less replaceable then the the ones in in the other decks.

That was my thought too! I tried to make sure the decks were good enough to win games, relatively cheap the craft and fun with unique concepts you might not find in other card games.

50:45 The reason Vex gains 4 Gloom here is because for some reason the Vex level up is a universal effect, meaning that your own leveled Vex increases the enemy Gloom. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that it's not intended that way and hope it gets fixed soon.

The game is very generous, even to it's detriment, if you feel like you're missing wildcards or green essence keep playing and you will be able to craft cards very easily in no time.

Just a quick correction for your deck tech on Ashe/Vex, Snnuy… Scholarly Pioneer’s creation of a spell is a Play effect, not a Summon effect, so putting Deathless on it through Legion of the Severed would not give you another created spell when the Pioneer returned to the battlefield. However, since the Pioneer has Challenger, it’s still not a bad target for the Legion. Just wanted to make sure new players are aware of that distinction between Summon effects and Play, since I know it tripped me up quite a few times when I first started playing. Great content, by the way. Keep it up, love to see your decks flooding the meta!

they are! we've been using them in regular videos for a ~week now. Not constantly but when a card doesn't get explained properly or gets manifested or something, we use them.

Been playing Runeterra for 2 weeks and you're the main content creator I watch for it. Love your vids playing different decks and also watched your old beginners guides. Whilst those vids are great, these guide, in depth vids with the little cards on the side to inform us of what everything does is simply amazing. Love it. Also, are the upgraded decks (upgraded fangs and fury) and beginner decks (elite deck for example) still viable?

Good video overall, but at 19:58 explaining why card ordering matters would have been a good addition imo. As a newer player i have done the mistake of putting shyvanna first and not benefitting from the level up.

people that started between now and ~13 months ago should have these decks unlocked. Anyone who starter before them won't have the updated starter decks, instead unlocking the old starter decks.. :/

I think this video concept is really good however I believe you should be talking more behind the reasons of playing each card

my only problem in this game is that not all card are available to play, you need to buy it first to play it, to grind the currency is such a pain in the ass, that why i always play lab

You kinda neglected to explain Eddy himself at all 🤣 He is rarely a factor by himself, but he does win some clutch games that have been going on for too long. I can just imagine how newer players can't really make sense of the "I CANNOT BE STOPPED" card description 😅

What if Gwent cards were LoR cards. Challenge level: impossible. 1. Arnagad. 9 mana 7|10 Freljord. When I'm summoned, deal 1 to me for each non-damaged unit. When opponent plays a unit we strike each other. 2. Morvudd. 1 mana 2|2 Targon. While I'm in your deck or hand, grant me +1+1 and increase my cost by 1 at each round end (10 max). 3. Dettlaff: higher vampire. 6 mana 3|3 SI. Deathwish: grant a random ally +3+3. The first time I die revive me and grant me deathless. 4. Griffin witcher mentor. 3 mana 2|3 Demacia. Play: updraft 1 to draw a unit and grant it +1+1. 5. Simlas Finn aep Dabairr. 9 mana 1|2 spellshield P&Z. Play: pick a spell from your deck and draw all copies of it. The first spell you play each round costs 0.

I feel Minimorph is great against big, single threats that must be answered, but if you’re going to do that, instead of giving them a 3/3 that can still attack or block, why not just pay that same 6 mana and Vengeance the unit? It’s more permanent, and if you’re considering a big removal spell for Ashe/Vex, I’d much rather go with that. Even with the expense at 6 mana, I always try to fit at least 1-2 copies of Vengeance in all my dedicated Shadow Isles decks. Still, there is some validity to the burst speed of Minimorph, but I think that’s its only edge over Vengeance. Just my two cents, hope that helps! (P.S. If you’re a new player and have few gems to work with, Vengeance is Common while Minimorph is Rare. Another nod to the first.)

Also, would you mind doing an aphelios viktor deck again? you did one like 1 pr 2 years ago and i totally loved it and it was so fun, but i dont think i can make an deck with those 2 as good as it could be with the knowledge i have

i will spend more time on it next time! i generally explained the mulligan for the poro deck, as for dragons you'd want any early game you can get + shyvana and for vex/ashe it's any removal that is good against the matchup + vex

I did asked this before but I don't think you saw it I'm an old player that returns to the game The game has changed a lot in a good way but there still isn't a proper way to help the deck builder. If I want to build a deck, I have to find a way to get the card I want, but then it would be too late to realize that the card is not working as I expected / not interacting as I expected. Can you do something about it? Like,... maybe tell them to give people 40 free temporary cards that can be exchanged every month so people can try stuff that they never got before and then decide to take the card they want into the deck later on. Or even a practice mode that you can make any change like in league would be fantastic I know that they don't focus on PVP anymore but still think that this could be a great way to encourage people to really try out the game and weird card/strategy instead of only trying to take a deck from other people that already good at it. The reason I left the game in the first place is not only because the game doesn't have enough stuff but also because the main problem is always that I can't try stuff that I "could". I remember I was wasting 2 months stuck with only 1 deck "Hecarim Zed and the Undying" when it was all the way back then and my friend also only played tahm kench or the old default Teemo deck I was wasting so many resources now to get the new cards in the previous expansion but then this happened. I still can't really build or try out stuff that old players could and be excited about but can only choose to use all the resources to "copy" a deck from other people just to play some PVP. Even then I still stuck with only 1 deck and some variation and that is all for probably about 3 or 6 months later... That's going to be very very boring. I would love to try out Vex but also want to play Taric and lux too. Even I like the gameplay and the Runeterra story all and all but this is just way too savage. Could/Did you do anything about that?

I sympathize with a card not working how you expected - for any number of reasons - and I’ve been there myself plenty of times. Tl;dr-card acquisition can feel slow, but it rewards consistency, so find a deck you enjoy in pvp or pve and play a few games with it here and there over a couple weeks - you’ll get there. In my experience, LoR is pretty generous with its card acquisition, so if your concern is “it takes me forever to get the thing I want,” then I’d suggest that you don’t need to have that worry. Play some path of champions while you complete some quests to get some cards, make sure to go through the different region reward paths, and be ok with playing decks that aren’t 1000000% optimal. Some of the most fun I’ve had has been when I slapped in a card that wasn’t perfect because I didn’t have what I wanted, but it found some use anyway. If you don’t want to wait at all, I think Xbox game pass or Microsoft’s pc game pass gives you access to all of the collection, or at least most of it. I’d love if there was some sort of practice tool where you could set up decks with cards you don’t have yet, or even set up specific board states - any sort of freedom would be super cool. But the best we’ve got for stuff like that is testing decks against the ai. Definitely valuable, but not perfect.

There isn't really something I can do about it because there are millions of interactions in the game. If you are unsure, I'd recommend joining the discord, there's a huge community that'd be ready to help you out if you ask them to test an interaction for you. I'll be completely honest and say that Runeterra card acquisition is EXTREMELY generous compared to other games. It's not hard to unlock the entire collection (or, at the very least, the cards that are playable) in a matter of only a few months. Getting weekly vault to max level, completing daily quests and even playing PoC gets you there super fast.

Wait… so I haven’t played in like a year… does it mean I lost access to the shyvana starter deck, which is the base for one of the strongest decks currently, or is there a way to still get it easily?

What's the difference between "Give something" vs "Grant something"?

The difference is that if you grant a unit +1/+1 it will keep the buff for the entire Game until it dies. If you give a Unit +1/+1 it has the buff only for one round.

What @floflex1233 said, but also if it helps for remembering - it will say “for this round” or “until the end of the round” or something like that after an instance of it “giving something,” whereas it will simply say “grant something” without mentioning any duration. So if you have to ask the duration and it doesn’t say on the card - permanent. (Hopefully I’m not forgetting any notable exceptions.)

Pass button is broken but a lot of people don't know how to use it Generally: The player that takes an action first in LoR is easier to react to

I feel like the idea was good but execution got a little bit too complicated when Snnuy got to playing against players... To be honest, back in my day I lacked only 2 things: 1. Simple but visually appealing guide on Keywords (in-game guides are boring and LAME + I don't think they teach you niche mechanics like Overwhelm + Stun). Also the game does not mention which keywords are just nice (Spirit) and which are the most impactful (In the beginning I thought Quick attack was not a keyword but just "the thing this specifical card does when entering the battle" like if it was mentioned somewhere in the card description and I was just missing it); 2. Card tierlists (I dont like using third party websites since there are just numbers but I want to HEAR a respectable opinion on why cards are good (like Sunny explained Gentlemen's dual in the video) + sites are not comfortable for me to learn from since you either keep the tab open and google it every time since I will not remember this boring info. On the other hand, if there was an entertaining video with a wholesome handsome guy sharing his view - that one I would more likely to remember or want to get back to later).
