My tip is Holywell bay...great little freshwater stream runs down the cliff side and isn't very deep so fantastic for small children to practice their Dam building skills....couple that with the view out to gull rock the caves and sand dunes it has it all.

As a yank living in the hot and muggy deep south US, this looks just spectacular. Wonderful weather, not built up with ugly high rises and all the commercial detritus that you see along so much of our coasts in the US. I'd be a happy camper to retire in a little cottage anywhere near these beaches. I only enjoy ours in the fall and winter here. Thank you for sharing.

We lived at Porthleven not too far from Kynance, our favourite beach. Who can possibly bear the long straight stretch of land at Bournemouth, Brighton etc compared to Cornwall’s Bays? The rock formations, the rock pools.....Once, we got trapped by the tide (on purpose). The whole thing was amazing. It hasn’t changed since then! (1961-1971)

Think we visited all the beaches you show, but there are so many more smaller Coves etc. Always a must visit would be St. Ives, Perranporth and Newquay, but our favourite was Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes. Even the walk down to the beach was magical for our children, through the winding lane, wood and of course, 'Stippy Stappy', a walk, only for the fittest!! It was easy going downhill, but you are really leaning forwards coming back up. Happy days.

@@cornishdale6188 Carbis Bay Hotel is f*cking evil...and I say this as a tourist. Generations of my family have been visiting Carbis Bay and St Ives since the 1960s (my Mother had family who lived in Venton Road). Over the last decade CB hotel (its calling itself an *estate* now btw!) has all but ruined CB beach and the coast path. Bring back the days when the beach had a bucket and spade shop, a pasty kiosk, an ice-cream stand and a Wimpy. The G7 summit was infuriating too. 🤬 I was on Porthminster Beach last week and the Carbis Bay "estate" helicopter was giving a ride around the coast to its rich patrons. They were waving at us from the helicopter...I returned *a* gesture but it certainly wasn't a wave...

We really enjoyed watching your vid. Many thanks Paul. I especially enjoyed seeing Sennen Cove / beach where I spent many an hour mucking about and fishing with friends that lived right there in the harbour. Graham Nicholas was a school mate and son of the harbour master, so we were able to borrow any row boat we liked to take out for fishing, despite being only 13 tyears old ! We caught great sized pollack, coal fish , mackerel and gar fish trolling "red gill" rubber eels out behind the boat as it was rowed. They were all taken back home for eating / freezing. Mum was happy ! Many happy memories brought flooding back...........Good on ya Paul :))

You think Cornwall is 'peaceful and calm'? Which bit are you referring to - that isn't infested with 12-15 million holidaymakers every summer? It's getting so bad down here now, that local people believe the central reservation of the M6 around Birmingham (at rush hour) would be a lot more 'calm and relaxing'

I've been to most of those. By far the most beautiful, exciting and wild is Gwythian. Got a bit scared in the wind with 2 toddlers though as being so open, the sandstorm got up and I had to try and carry them through it as they couldn't walk with it hitting them in their faces being so low down. Super fast tides too so very easy for older kids to go rock pooling/climbing and not realise the sea has closed in around them. Still my favourite in the whole country.
