Heck yeah bro!
Thank you very much for this vid I just picked up a 2019 Gulia and got home from the dealership and had check engine and start stop unavailable pop up , brought it back and the dealership only charged the battery for me , it cleared the codes but sometimes my rear defroster doesn't work so Im heading to Costco to pick up the Maserati battery you mentioned.
Heyy Man Great Channel!! Ive seen everything on maintenance on this car except one....Your Transmission oil change!!! You should do a good clip to complete the series not to hard does cost some dough but WELL worth it!
Thanks for your videos, really helpful.
Thanks for the video, really helped me change my car battery easily. I even ordered the battery cheap from Costco using the Maserati specs in your video, appreciate you. Any advice on changing the turbo oil O-ring gaskets.. Had my Alfa since 2017, love the car, call it my poor mans Ferrari, minimal problems so far. Thank you saved me a lot of work on the battery change.

Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you were able to take care of it. The O rings are just a little annoying I have not done a video yet, but I should. Google O ring replacement giulia forums and there should be a few good guides that will help.
Excellent! Thanks. Love this car. If it was standard, it would be perfect.. It started as a lease because I owned a business, and I was afraid of Alfa Romeo's reputation (at that time) for poor reliability. But it's more reliable than all my other new cars! And JD Powers and other rankings seem to suggest we got a winner. I think it's because of all the fancy electronic infotainment stuff in cars, and Alfa Romeo was very conservative in implementing that. When I saw the Start STop issue, I thought oh no.... but through this video and the internet, I see it's just a battery thing, and our IBS (or whatever you call it) is much simpler than other fancy cars. Your video set me straight, and I'm headed to Costco for the best deal. Most importantly, I feel more at ease that the start-stop engine light is a common issue, but it's no big deal, and now I know which is the best battery. Even though I don't do many mods, I'm definitely subscribing to you. Someday, when I'm daring and have time. LOL! Hey,have you done a mod for adding a bike hitch?
Thank you mate!!!! i guess it's time for me to change it hahah

Hey bro quick question got a light for service electric parking break on 2017 any info you can give me towards this and is it safe to drive the car
I have the same issue with my Stelvio, I had a misfire and check engine light a few weeks ago, and once in a while Auto Start/Stop shows up on the cluster. I don't have Costco membership, only Sam's club, and they only have Duracell batteries. Anybody knows what is an alternative to these Interstate batteries?
Quick question, I did mine a couple of months ago, was pretty simple. It was just a bit of a hassle to get the new one in, since it's pretty heavy. But, from what I read on the internet, you'll loose a bunch of car settings if you completely disconnect the battery? So, to keep the memory/settings intact, I first connected another car battery to the positive and negative posts under the hood, where you can charge your battery, and then disconnected the old battery. It looks like you didn't have to do that. Was all your car settings still intact after the replacement?

Yes 100% you don’t lose anything you just have to do the steering wheel reset turn all the way left and all the way right off and on and bam your back on the road. No settings lost it’s not necessary.
About how much labor hours to complete the entire battery replacement as well as the reset using steering wheel? Thank you
@alfamods2.0T

30 min at home. The reset steering wheel takes 2 min max it’s just turning the wheel side to side. Then off and on.
Off topic but u mentioned in the past the 2017&2018 alfa’s had coolant leak issues. Do you know if this applies to the 2019 models also? Or was this resolved for the 19 model yr ?

Hey, saw your question and see that it wasn't answered. The coolant issue was only resolved by Alfa in 2020 so it did affect 2019 models but I heard that there was a manufacturer recall on these models to change the radiator, which was a major cause of the issue. My suggestion is to check with your nearest Alfa dealership about the recall in your country, but only get it changed if or when your current radiator it's giving you an issue

I would replace that coolant plug.. I have a 2020 with no issues so far but gonna replace it with that Alfissimo plug. Better to be safe than sorry and it’s only like $25 anyways 🤷♂️ Mine comes in on Thursday and gonna swap it out.
I have the varta battery with the alfa romeo logo and i have no idea when it was manufacture i already searched online and nothing

They normally have a sticker with a date on it. If your on the OEM one I would switch it’s not good at all. AGM H8 is what is needed to keep this car happy. Banks got watching!

Hi , Does this work on 2023 QV? I just bought brand new and checke engine light come up in 120 miles.I have no idea what is going on.
@alfamods2.0T

There is a lot of reasons why you would have a check engine light get a code reader. You don’t need a battery unless your showing symptoms, you can check if the cables are corroded this is common on new Alfas during overseas shipping of the car. Here is what I would do unplug the quick disconnect of the negative side battery post. Let the car sit 10 min plug it back it. It will have a few codes on start up turn the wheel all the way left then all the way right. Then off and on. If the engine light went away it’s just a glitch don’t worry move on. If it’s still there then take it to a dealer.

If your battery is bad, will the engine lights come on?

Giulia and Stelvio gets bitchy, even when the battery is a bit weak. Normal cars would ride for years or at least months with such a battery, but on the Alfa Romeos you will get failures. First sign is mostly the start/stop-autmatic. It will stop working without any failures. Later failures can be misfires after the car stand some days inlcuding check engine light and failure code P030. So its good to have a elm 327 obd interface and a working car app on your phone.
Hey bro I had a problem with my alfa, the engine light came on and the electronic throttle control, do you know of anyone who can repair it?

Hey, love your videos! Just curious, have you installed the anti-theft radar kit (that metal cage) on your Giulia? What do you think about it? Just read about how easy it is to break in via the radar port and got a bit scared. PS: Greetings from Ukraine! :)

Not sure anyone tries to steal Alfa Romeos in the US. True story, about a year ago a gang of criminals broke into our local Alfa Romeo dealer in the middle of the night. Grabbed the key box and... stole seven pre-owned German cars!🤦♂️ (Audi, BMW, Mercedes) Walked right past the brand new Quadrifoglios!

@@glennlindamood it's almost the same here in Ukraine - Alfa is an anti-theft by itself :) I think Mazdas are the most stolen cars here. But it sounds like alfa thefts are a huge deal in Europe.
Hmmm. In the video you say Interstate battery, but I see you putting in a Die Hard?
@alfamods2.0T

Yeah I put in a diehard I bought new and with in a day it was dead. I charged it checked the IBS and it was very very low so I returned it and bought the interstate. Must have been just an unlucky pick of bad battery or else this video would be featuring the die hard.
