Love this engine! The 2ZZGE 1.8 VVTL-i from Toyota/Yamaha wakes up from 6200 when the lift hits :D Damn I miss my Corolla T-sport now lol

Definitely the Lotus. The S2000 isn't really comparable.

The Toyota engine is scary. My MR2 had low compression at 85,000 miles, leaked oil everywhere internally and externally, and I had to sell it for scrap ($250). Toyota benefits from an entire demographic of non-drivers. Bad idea to push an economy engine designed for high mpg under very light demand.

i had the 2zz and went great for up to 200,000km but have heard some horror stories. on the bright side, a replacement engine costs peanuts if something does happen, so the appeal is still there haha.

Do a Focus next.

mr2 1200kg lotus elise 800kg.. same engine yeah id rather see a heavier car go slower

The S1 is lighter, better car, my friend had one before he passed away and it just never ran out of grip.

Finally lotus are the number1 best car company
