To me, that was one of the best depictions of Spider-man. He’s got the quips, he’s got the smarts, he’s got the awkwardness but still feels confident as Peter, but he also has the anger that’s integral to Spidey’s character that’s gotten lost over the years. There’s been so many reboots and adaptations that Peter’s youthful anger has slowly been erased unless the Symbiote is at play or it’s an extreme circumstance (MCU Peter wanting to tear Goblin apart is justified, but after a whole trilogy plus two and a half avengers movies of the cinnamon roll that everyone wants to adopt who stumbles over his words and is constantly scrambling around in uncertainty… it just feels like it doesn’t have the foundation to stand on to feel earned). MTV Spider-Man had that anger at different points in the show, which makes him strangling Kraven feel more earned. And it was all without the Symbiote. It’s a shame that Spider-man’s temper and quality of lashing out in his youth and occasionally in adulthood has become less and less present. The only time he’s allowed to be angry and temperamental is when the Symbiote is at play (which isn’t how it worked in the original comic).

Josh Keaton was supposed to be Spider-Man in the original movie game and did his lines before Tobey came in at the last minute, his lines can be heard if you play as Harry Osborn

Sean Marquette is really underrated imo. I could be biased cause I grew up with the game, but he always struck me as jaded and annoyed with everyone’s bs rather than just “whiny”

Christopher Daniel Barnes is the best spider-man he played as Spider-man 1994 And Spider-man 2099 EOT

I can't decide if Yuri or Josh are my favourite.

Yeah it was wearied that they didn’t bring back, he would’ve killed it , but I think Andrew Garfield the type of guy who doesn’t think video games are cool tho

It sucks that Daymond wasn’t given the greatest material to work with that most of these other va’s were given. He had potential imo, it just hadn’t truly nourished.

12:43 Christopher Barnes actually DID voice Spider-Man in videogames. He voiced Symbiote Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man in Marvel Heroes Omega. Superior might be a stretch, but it still classic Peter physically

I dont even know much bout spiderman voice actors but bros editing and pacing make this an enjoyable watch

Barnes is always the voice in my head when I think of Spidey. Probably because TAS was my introduction to the character back in the day, but he also just nails everything about both sides of him.

Well he now works for OWCA and if the rest of LOVENUFFIN is on par with Doof’s planet moving inator or his several disintegration devices, yeah I’d say Rodney and the rest of his old crew are definitely going to run into trouble with the Avengers eventually.

Great video man! I agree with all of your opinions, Neil Patrick Harris is in my top 5 favorite Spidey voice actors! I love how in TNAS he would make his voice deeper when he was behind the mask to either be more commanding or just to disguise his voice, and I just love the more serious portrayal he gives in the series. He's not just good when he's serious though, his lighthearted moments and quips are also great! He's great in Shattered Dimensions too in my opinion even though I've heard people say he's a little obnoxious in that game but that's just the script and material he was given, NPH is such a great and underrated Spidey voice actor overall! 👏 Keep up the amazing work man!

Rino Romano is the most underrated Spider-Man imo. His performances are right up there with the likes of Keaton's and Lowenthal's, but he's hardly talked about these days.

Rino & CDB are the spiders of my childhood and they deserve the loce

I think that’s the beauty of Spider-man, people see themselves more in different variants.

You forgot Neil Patrick Harris who voiced Peter in MTV’s Spider-Man and Shattered Dimensions

Neil Patrick Harris and Sam Riegel are worth mentioning (and some of my personal favorites)

I also think think that the two Spider Man actors from the 80s shows work as well. Dan Gilvezan sounds like a Peter who is just starting out fresh out of high school and Ted Schwartz reminds of a much older Peter who is married to MJ

I think that Josh keton should play a younger spider man and the 90,s voice actor should play a college spider man and rino Romano should play a older spider man

Christopher Daniel Barnes, rino Ramono, Neil Patrick Harris, Jake johnson, and yuri lowenthal remind me of 616 Peter and ultimate Peter reminds me of James Arnold Taylor, Josh Keaton, and Sean Marquette

Sean Marquette was the textbook definition of an annoying, nerdy, spunky teen with ATTITUDE!🔥Which is what Ultimate Spidey was all about. That's why they chose him. He nailed that role! His young, quick smart alec voice is all I hear when I read those comics lol

Drake Bell did a pretty decent job and the voice actor from 90s cartoon Chris was great. I agree Toby not so much, he is better in live action roles

I feel bad for Robbie Daymond because oh my god Chai is my child and I will kill for him, but the show he was in for Spider-Man was complete crap.

@@kiwiangeldust6912 Honestly, him and Romano are both tied for me, but I grew up playing Spider-Man 1 and 2 on the PS1 A LOT when I was a kid. So, he is kinda my default Spider-Man since those games mean a lot to me.

Quinton Flynn did a pretty good performance as Spidey. My favourite voice Spidey has had is either James Arnold Taylor or Robbie Daymond.

I think Drake has the vocal tone of what I think SpiderMan "should" sound like in his teenage years. But his voice acting is dryer than dried plain bread. BUT YES! Whenever I think of adult spidermans voice I can't get rino romano out of my head! He's living there rent freeeee

This is probably going to be a controversial opinion: I don’t really love Christopher Daniel Barnes’ voice for Peter Parker. Don’t get me wrong, I ADORE his voice for Spiderman Noir (which is technically still Peter Parker) and Spiderman 2099 but I’ve always felt that something about his voice for the Amazing Spiderman just feels… off. Granted, I haven’t really seen much of the 90’s cartoon so I don’t have a ton of context for his take but I’ve just always kinda felt that way since I was a kid

Out of all the main spider-men, Yuri’s voice is my favorite and Andrew Garfield’s is my least favorite, he just sounds weird. Probably because his voice is slightly muffled, he has to cover his British accent and has to make the proper comedic timing, I love Andrew Garfield but it just doesn’t land for me
