finally someone who shares my opinion on Every Summer After! I don't love the *aforementioned trope* in general when it's there for no reason or just for drama, but I don't think it ruined this book at all and it made sense in my opinion. Characters don't have to be perfect! I will also join in recommending you read Daisy Jones & the Six on audiobook if you decide to re-read it, it was incredible!

If you liked daisy jones & Evelyn Hugo you MUST read Malibu rising as it ties the books together! And then afterwards read carrie Soto is back as it also links but only if you read Malibu rising first

Book lovers is so great! I still need to get my hands on Happy Place. So good to know that it’s your favourite! Looking forward to reading it 😊

To me, Wildfire literally feels like it’s written by a different author! It’s strange because I found them both a bit meh but am still going to get the next one because I really enjoy the characters, I feel like I know them personally and that’s one thing she does well. The 3rd one is Henry’s story 🥲

I feel the exact same about Icebreaker. The covers are just so cute on my shelf that I bought Wildfire to give Hannah Grace another shot!

For romance books, I'd recommend ; 1.'You Again' by Kate Goldbeck. Very much "When Harry met Sally" vibes 2. Seven Days In June by Tia Williams. Second chance romance between writers who have never got over one another and have written each other or referenced each other in their books. 3.Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Greek mythology retelling and it's absolutely beautiful 4. Last Night At The Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo. Lesbian love story set in 1954 when it was illegal to be gay. It's also an interracial relationship and it delves into the racism in America around then too

I've only read Beach Read from Emily Henry (which I loved!), but I think I might read one of her other ones leading up to Valentines Day! I own Book Lovers and People We Meet on Vacation, so I think one of those will be the next book I read

I was so scared to hear another bad review on Happy Place. I’m so happy it was a hit for you. I also cried while reading it. I loved it

I wanna recommend you few of my favourite books from different genres. “The Island of Missing Trees” by Elif Shafak. “The Measure” by Nikki Erlick. “My Dark Vanessa” by Kate Elizabeth Russell (check TWs!). “Curveball” by E.J. Blaise (very cute romance with accidental pregnancy trope). “Reckless” by Elsie Silver (also pregnancy trope lol. she is a grump, he is sunshine). “The Fake Out” by Stephanie Archer (fake dating, very cute) also the series “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

Everyone here HAS to read Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu. Even if you normally don’t like fantasy, I highly recommend it! I don’t know anyone who’s read it and not loved it.

i haaaated thender is the flesh. i do like the ideas the author had, and i usually love unlikable main character (i rly enjoyed my year of rest and relaxation), but this one... i feel like there were so many concepts mentioned but there was nothing done with them. and the mc is a horrible person, which is fine, but he is so incredibly boring and annoying, and gives me no reason to care about him. imo there wasnt enough substance for a book, it would've made a fine short story.

Completely agree! I felt like the characters were flat and unlikeable. My biggest issue is the lack of trigger warnings, I wouldn't have read it had I known certain things were included.
