The Best Air Dry Clay?! Trying out Apoxie Sculpt for the first time
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I am finally trying out Apoxie Sculpt which is two-part air dry clay that is supposed to dry incredibly hard and be super durable- without cracking!

This is beautiful. You might want to do so.e research on using aluminum foil armature for your larger pieces. You won't use so much clay and it will keep it from being so floppy
I used this stuff to fill in old holes left in my backyard concrete when I removed an old umbrella that was bolted to it. Its been a year an a half thru rains and sun, etc and the stuff is SOLID. I'm sure there are cheaper stuff I coulda used but its what I had on hand at the time lol.
$35 😮 I bought a set of jars about 3 years ago for $17, and thought that was expensive at the time. I still haven't used it but what you made inspired me ❤
I started watching your shorts and have now moved on to your channel. I haven’t been so inspired by another artist in so long. You are an amazing artist.

Right? Same here
Just gorgeous, thanks for your video & hard work! :)
I love this piece! I find your videos both very inspiring & calming, which is such a lovely vibe. ❤
Absolutely lovely! ❤ I loved how you totally transformed such a cute mirror into a new beautiful work of art! Perhaps with sculpting thin objects like the butterflies, you could try working with a aluminum foil base structure so that the Apoxie isn’t so floppy? Loved how it came out regardless!

Thank you so much!! And yes totally- that or thin cardboard definitely would have worked as a better base! You live and you learn😅
This piece is so cool! I absolutely love how it turned out! Amazing job!

Nice job. I"m going to have to try this product.
This addressed every question I had about Apoxie! I haven't bought any because of the price, as you mentioned, so I'm really glad to hear your perspective on its workability!

Very beautiful clay art🎨
Use hand cream on your hands/fingers to prevent sticking. Nice project.

I have sweaty hands also. this demo reminded me that one will often wet 💦 ones hands or tools when forming sticky foods - eg: rice balls, bread dough - to reduce sticking - I will try having a little dish of water or a gentle atomizer handy when forming details (the same one as used for smoothing the apoxy) so my finger tips don't stick and distort the piece. that you and best wishes
Oh this turned out gorgeous! I'd hit it with some matte or glass sealer so that they have the same finish and it'll make it even more cohesive. Personal opinion though. It looks great no matter what 🥰
You can use Aves “Fix-it” that holds the clay firm, so that it doesn’t *FLOP* while drying/curing. Also, Aves products don’t really smooth well with water. They sell a smoothing solution to use instead. But MAGIC SCULPT is a better product in my opinion. Magic Sculpt can be smoothed with water. Sometime if you’re able, give “Magic Sculpt” a try!
Your talent will never not amaze me! Do you think maybe using parchment paper would help with the sticking instead of the plastic? Not sure what to do about sweaty hands though!

That’s a great idea- I’ll have to try that out!
Wow it really looks like wood!
You may want to try aves apoxie clay instead!
Checking into wood putty
Wax paper
Do u k ow if after it hardens if water touches it again does it stay hard.

It stays hard. Water safe.
I would of painted the clay white after it dried that way you didn't have to do so many coats to cover the gray
Are you going to be using Etsy again?

Technically not air dry...it's a chemical reaction...hence part A and part B.
