Never such thing as finessed. Homme plissé is selling their design, Issey Miyake Pleats Please has been doing pleats since 1993, that's their brand their signature design. They have every right to price their item at the price they are selling them for. I don't support fast fashion brands exactly for this reason, they are essentially finding loopholes to steal designs and profit off of them, while also producing a mass amount that ends up in the landfill every season. But to each their own I guess, I don't judge others wearing them, since it is a cheaper alternative.

I managed to find a pair of the zara ones for resell. What do you think about the pleating itself? Does it come close side by side? I managed to find a grey pair by the way

Great and clear review bro but I think fit is everything tho, I can compromise the material or the built quality, not the fit.

Yeah they are just a little bit more slim and for the shorts medium but if you really want the oversized look go with large that’s what I did and my waist is 33

They are also made in the Philippines, pretty sure it costs them so little to make and they sell it for $300 to $400

im quite surprised that people pay premium prices for issey pleats. i got 2 from a secondhand store here in japan for $40 each. i would not have paid over $50 for them. they are nice but at the end of the day its plastic (polyester) its not premium material

Here's a 3 month update for anyone looking to buy the Zara shorts. Wear from maybe 2-3 days a week has resulted in the waistband on my size L to stretch out into falling off my ass. Only hand washed and hung dry. For $40, not bad. Definitely worth getting a real pair because they aren't shit.

@@onlygeo i bought em and love how they look, feel, and fit! came in 2 days from my state when they said it'd be coming wednesday so that made me happy af. question, were your back pockets stitched together on the shorts and trousers?

They are nothing like the same . I have a OG pair. I saw your vid, and thought you know what the Zara ones would be well worth a punt for £30 From a distance they my look the same . But the pleats are totally different, the Zara pleats are slightly thicker, the shade of black is different ,and the feel when on is not the same Don’t get me wrong if you are on a budget they are a great alternative,but to say you can’t tell the difference, in my opinion is not true. You can!!

I honestly think to the average normal person if you gave them both to to them to compare they wouldn’t really be able to tell the biggest differences but someone like yourself who in to fashion & owns a pair of issey pants can deffo tell Hope that makes sense lol

Both are made out of 100% polyester (plastic). The Issey pleats are more well-made and the quality of their pleats are superior but at the end of the day, what's covering your legs is just polyester.

You can't get the Zara pants in Aus so sad

Haven't touched one but since they're made in Japan, I'm certain they feel and look nice in person. Just doesn't justify the ridiculously hefty pricetag more so in resell.

I'd wager the stitching is not as solid as the OGs. It looks as though the pleated fabric is ruthlessly mashed together at the seams 😣

Nah thats a Big CAP , i own 2 issey miyake JF150s and i just got the zaras 2 days ago, quality is there but its definitely not the same feel of the material... the pleats on zaras are stitched in and feels cheap and isseys are done totally different and feels high end. At the end of the day ill go for Zara though as its gets the look down and would love to spend that extra 200 pounds i can save with a different piece.
