Great video! Cheers from a fellow Newfoundlander from Corner Brook. Spent lots of days like that over the years. I'm 65 now and the first time I hunted partridge I was 14 years old; my dad took me to a place called Long Hill in Lark Harbour, NL. What an awesome day that was! Got a bunch of birds, had a boil-up, and the view over the land and the salt water was unforgettable!

Bobby my man. These are awesome videos. I am 44 and grew up in Buchans until I finished high school. Moved back to NL from 2001 to 2009 working in St John's but would get in to Central for at least 10-12 weeks of the year and lived for the Buchans plateau over towards Grand Lake. That area in your video is so similar. I left NL in 2009 for 5 years in Moncton and now the last 6 in the country of Brunei, South East Asia. I get back to NL every summer for a month except for this past summer. First item on the list is to get in to our cabin on the Notch Mountains just west of Buchans. These videos of yours sure bring back memories. I fly Helicopters for a living to the offshore. 8 years in St John's and now 6 here in Brunei. Hope to soon get back to NL and maybe fly the smaller helicopters on the island. Never got a good look at the pilot who dropped you off but suspect I would know him. Looked like a Newfoundland Helicopters A Star that dropped you. Been watching your vids all day. Keep them coming.

@geriatricjoe7871

Newfoundland’s most dangerous animal is the moose since they’re very territorial. We also have black bears but there has never been a reported bear attack in all of Newfoundland’s history dating all the way back to when people first cane but again would never put it past a bear to do something if it feels threatened enough

For everyone leaving the hate about spent shells, what is the harm? You will never see them. I haven't heard anyone of you pudknockers talking shit about the lead pellets being spread over hell and high ground. They actually will cause damage to the remaining critters that eat them. We all see how noble you are. You can stop now.

New subscriber from SC, USA here. Have you ever experienced dangerous creatures in the bush ?
@geriatricjoe7871

Newfoundland’s most dangerous animal is the moose since they’re very territorial. We also have black bears but there has never been a reported bear attack in all of Newfoundland’s history dating all the way back to when people first cane but again would never put it past a bear to do something if it feels threatened enough
👍😉
Hey man great great vid. Cant beat the outdoors. You ran the on our team one year for the race to the sea. I have a channel on here too check it out.

Never seen no one hunt partridge like this up here in Labrador we rides right up to them on our sleds and picks em out of the alders 2 or 3 every time

Can't hunt partridge here in winter, no season. Only on foot in fall here. I think you guys got the best of it there in labrador.
