I am having serious issues getting the poles into the adapter that mounts to the Amaran. Any suggestions? I feel like I’m going to break something as hard as I’m trying to bend them in place.

Do you have the aperture light dome SE? Because that is usually the one that seems tricky. If you are using that one - just start with getting the four corners in (lined up with the red circles), then alternate back and forth from there putting in opposite polls across the bowens mount. It is easy after you get the four red-circle ones in.
