Long Hair Boi people aren’t one dimensional. You can be ‘athletic’ and toxic. And quite frankly, him raising his sons to be emotionally distant and allowing them to say homophobic slurs is immensely toxic. Maybe you don’t think so because you were raised thinking all that is okay, and maybe you weren’t and you just generally support toxic masculinity, but quite frankly that is the definition of toxicity and it’s backwards and repulsive.

That mum is so impressive in her open communication during that sit down. She’s not blaming him, she’s trying to open his eyes and work with him on addressing the issues they have, and openly stating she is as much to blame. I also love that despite the dad being so aggressive at the beginning, he really wanted to change as evidenced by his comment, "now, what did I do wrong there?"

Loved mom saying it was everyone, including her, and admitting she needed to change. Loved dad actually asking where he went wrong. This looks good.

Jo is an absolute saint when it comes to dealing with marital confrontations/conflicts.

Small funny moment I got: Hunter holding the fork in his mouth during prayer in order to start eating immediately after “amen”. My siblings and I would do that all the time 😂

The way Hunter hugged his dad after being disappointed warmer my heart. In that moment you just know all he wants is his dads love, attention and approval. I count imagine being 8 yes old and the only way to get those things from my father was by being aggressive. Jo stepped in at just the right time their father was turning them into bullies and sucking their ability to be kind to themselves and others right out of them.

Mom is beautiful and intelligent. Rooting for her. Hope Dad realises his faults and change for the betterment of his family. And the boys are beautiful too.

you're lying. This is the only Rivers on the show, the other one was River. Now count the number of boys named Josh, Christopher, John, Jacob, David, Ethan, Daniel, Matthew...

Jo is amazing here. She's able to maintain her cool while being accused of all kinds of nefarious things, and go on to help and connect with both of the parents. The mom is courageous in speaking out that they do need help in spite of her husbands anger and defensiveness. And I was also impressed at how the father got on board and changed, and so did the mom. I think they all realized how much better off they were. hope they stuck with it.

Hunter's aggression was 100% learned from the father

The kids are actually very sweet and not the problem at all. I have respect for all parents that admit that they need help to raise their kids!

At the beginning I really thought this family wasn’t going to be able to work on the things they needed to. I’m very surprised and happy that they changed to help their kids, their family, and their relationship. I really hope they continued to use the lessons they learned!

the family probably would never have been on this show if it wasn't for how toxic the dad is. He's the problem, not the children....

Jo said that she isn't Mary Poppins, but she's certainly got everything needed in her bag.
