In this video I will be sharing with you in Dagara and later in the video a translation in English language the basic social structure of the Dagara people from the Upper West Region of Ghana,the differences between YIILU ,paternal ancestry or bloodline and B3LLU the maternal ancestry or lineage.
Today's highlights will be on the Bekuone clan,their history,taboos and totems.
Although we have geographical settlements where we term hometown or "Yizie",we also have "Yiilu" or "Saabiir" which refers to the clans or ancestral lineage from the paternal side and "B3llu" from the maternal lineage. I throw more light on my paternal clan.
