Haha alcohol can be great when you make a conscious decision to drink to enhance a situation with family/ friends. I usually only let myself drink once per year(usually Christmas Eve). I like to make it on special/ memorable occasions that I can share with people I’m close to. I’m also a big fan of sobriety and living a life where you don’t use alcohol for escapism. I think you should drink very rarely but if you never let yourself drink then you are missing out on experiences like this.

Kinda brings me back lol. Last winter I went out in the next town over for some drinks, and long story short I missed the last train home. Was drunk enough that I decided my best course of action was running the 16k home. Turned out to be an alright decision though tbh, I think the run boosted my metabolism enough to burn off most of the alcohol so I wasn't even hung over the next morning.
