I met an Iranian man back in the mid 1980's. His wife and son went to the same church as my family and I. He had been in the Iranian army and told about how they had to move through a crowd of protesters to move them out of the area. The way he described it, it was brutal. Mirahn was a 5th or 6th degree Black Belt in Karate. I can't remember the spelling of the type so I won't try. He held classes for the young boys in the church Rec room and invited the fathers to attend. A friend and I started going, I dropped out but my friend continued. It was a great experience in discipline and exercise. As Ali, the gentleman in this article, Mirahn was always friendly and respectful of everyone he met. Mirahn owned a Audio/Visual repair shop. Great man. Sorry for the lengthy spiel.
Oh I want to go there . He deserves being successful. He has worked for it. God Bless him.

--- #1 rule --- don't go to the fucking Dairy Queen after you eat at the Beehive ----
This owner is such a sweetheart
I had lunch there yesterday and got to speak with this amazing man. Proof of what is great about this country, if you choose to be a success.
What a awesome gentleman!! The man sees how blessed he is and that's why he's so happy, a lesson to learn!!
When he said that this was the best country, I almost cried.
He's got it right and most would never know of his story without your work. Thanks again!
I want to hang out with this guy and just have him bless me with the light he puts out. What a fantastic human.
Although a fifth generation Texas native, I moved to a Maryland 32 years ago. I’m settled here and probably won’t move back, but going all the way back to 4 Country Reporter, this is how I remember. Thanks Bob.
Every time I’ve eaten there I’ve had the best company and the best food. Great job TCR.
Well done Ali. All the best for you and your family.
Eaten there many times, Ali is great, great fillet mignon steaks...
What a gentleman.....very good

You gotta love that guy! Food looks great, too.
I've eaten here a time or two and I can say with confidence Ali is 100% genuine in this interview. He probably spent 20 minutes at our table making us laugh and telling is his story on how he came to Albany. not to sound sappy but you really do feel welcome whenever those hinges squeak on that door. excellent food by the way.
I love stories like this.
God bless this man he's the best we have in America and the best in Texas .
Friendly guy, gonna have to visit
Food looks good and that seems like a nice fellow
Love eating there and visiting with Ali.
What a wonderful man

Wonderful words to live by.. Don't lie. don't cheat, don't steal, help others when you can, and believe in one God...
Really wonderful!
There are still good ppl in this world
Jazz, Louisiana Kitchen in Lubbock has all the walls covered with dollars like that that Texas Tech students have put there over the years.
That chicken fried steak looks tasty!!!!!
Yes sr you are a mazter of the life god bless you
God bless USA
It's good too see a foreigner from another country come over to America and by working at different restaurant's learn how to be a successful business owner by simply having true faith in God. And giving him all the Thanks and Glory for successful business and happy and rewarding life. Amen.

Man. Food looks tasty
Wow, that is a true immigrant. “Hard work.”
Everyone knows the one-and-only, original Bee Hive Restaurant was in Modesto, CA on Crows Landing Road.
Lov it
Reminds me of AJ Hidell.
The second location is in Abilene and it is good
Yep schnitzel was good it was a German food my mother and my dad and my brother has lived in Germany before I was born I need my mom would make it and when she came back to the United States to have me she would make it
God bless Ali!! 🕌🕌⛪⛪

Been telling people forever DON'T LIE,DON'T STEAL, DONT CHEAT.
This is what leftists fail to understand. This Iranian man comes to America, establishes himself as a skilled restaurateur, and with hard work, dedication, and providing a quality product for his customers, has become wildly successful and well known, or else the Texas Reporter would have never given him a second glance. Pass the steak sauce, please.
Come on Bob......Blake and Miranda ? ......how about the man himself in that photo Ted Nugent ?
Yes, there is only one God.
Hardworking and with seemingly steadfast values, Ali Esfandiary is indeed a magnificent example of the life one can build in the USA. The only problem is, had he had his way, the last President would not have let people like him immigrate into the country in the first place.
ironic, big city guy wants to go to small town, small town guy wants to go to big city...
Only if ur white coming from another country then u will be blessed if ur black and from another country well your on your own
I have to admit, the "only" part of this story that bothered me, was the part when he said he kisses the Quran. Should I be bothered by this? I'm not sure.

Hi Mark, I feel like he reveled a quiet moment of his day to all of us. That's his business to believe in his own religion. That is the freedom that all American's enjoy. I hope that you will just let this go. He's a good and decent man who loves this country and feels blessed to live here. Just imagine if your own personal religious beliefs "bothered" most folks. It's always best to stand in someone else's shoes for a few moments and reflect on how life is from their point of view. It tends to give you a more balanced and thoughtful point of view.

@stealth baller I definitely agree with you
I don't care if you are from another country and you came to the US to find your reality. It doesn't mean you can deface government issued currancy. Rather distasteful and disrepectful. I know money nots for writing on, anyway.
You really missed Ted Nugent didn't you...
Nice story but quit with the BS about the US being the greatest place, there are many far better
