Simple bass line or not, it makes for one of the best songs written, just shows you don't need complicated to make an amazing song, gives us all hope.

This may not be the most technically challenging bass line, but it's surely one of the most majestic grooves imaginable!

I'm just wondering how the bass line for the chorus came out of someone's head. Some kind of genius wrote that.
