Really rough for him that he fought with PTA on set. Not physically but they called each other out. That episode kinda slowed Mihai's progress in Hollywood. He's a fantastic DP but from what I heard also extremely stubborn.

Not even exaggerating: You can put ANY shot from this movie in this video

People that seen this movie know how hypnotizing this film is. Joaquin and the great Philip Seymour Hoffman at their best along with amazing directing from PTA. One of the best films of the 2000s

I feel lucky to have had a pleasure to be at the 70mm film screening of The Master at Leicester Square cinema, and I was surprised how many moviegoers dressed up for the event and there wasn't a single empty seat in entire 2 tier cinema! Make a quality film, and they will come!

Maybe this film just resonated with me, but in my eyes the greatest film of all time.

The only movie that has brought me to tears just by being breathtakingly beautiful.

Greatest of all time. Zenith of the medium. Hallmark of media. Gold standard of storytelling. Apogee of creativity. Vertex of invention. Crest of ingenuity. Acme of imagination. Pinnacle of innovation. Epic of epics. Legend among legends. Peak fiction.

This is my choice for best film of this century, also think it's underrated. It's so breathtakingly mysterious, grand and genius that is hard to explain, also the conversation scene is one of the most emotional of the last few decades. Genius performances and directing...

One of the all time great films. Beautiful, mysterious, haunting, and has an eternal quality to it.

The best film of the decade.

This is so beautiful...

The most stunning film (visually, at least) I've ever looked at.

The cinematography in The Master is better than in There Will Be Blood.

I think the aesthetic is better, but some of the images created in there will be blood are really memorable. Same with the master, obviously.

In my opinion he’s the modern day Stanley Kubrick because whenever I’m watching his films I keep telling myself that they are something Stanley would have probably made Ps: I’m saying this because Paul is my favorite modern day director and Stanley being my all time favorite director and making me love photography especially with film

I kinda disagree with ya there, but here’s the thing Stanley Kubrick and P.T.A have similar styles, and similar ideals but Kubrick covers a wide range of genres, P.T.A’s are epics and period pieces but it’s true that what P.T.A makes is original, fresh,and thought provoking then the cinema we see today.(My favorite movie’s by them P.T.A: There will be blood. Stanley Kubrick:2001:A space odyssey)
