Beautiful St. Joseph Island (cinematic drone video)
St. Joseph Island is about as beautiful as Northern Ontario gets! Enjoy my cinematic drone video showcasing Stribling Point, Shoal Island Lighthouse, Sailors Encampment, Richards Landing, and along the Bernt Gilbertson Bridge. I've pulled all the stops - 3 drones + 2 other cameras all add their unique advantages making this my most ambitious video yet. I really hope you enjoy it!
St Joseph Island is located less than an hour from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario at the Northern edge of Lake Huron. The island is best known for its maple syrup production, Northern Ontario fishing, and tourism...although May is a bit early for much tourism. I didn't catch any today, but Stribling Point is also known for the massive Great Lakes Shipping vessels that pass by.
Let me know if there's more to capture on St Joseph Island, or anywhere else in Algoma County! I'd love to go explore more areas.

I noticed it was so quiet there. Usually background noise drowns out the drone noise at like 100ft, but here it was so quiet I could almost always hear where the big drone was
I was there in 2022 but I didn't get to some of those places. Great aerial shots. 👌👍

It's a huge island! I just did the North tip, but I'll try to make it back. I've heard the fall colours are a standout down there
Pretty marvelous location! Can't go too wrong with any place that has a lighthouse...but I may be a tad biased being here in Nova Scotia! lol

I don't know what it is about them - maybe it's the importance they serve or appreciation for the dedication of lighthouse keepers - but lighthouses are really, really cool!

Thanks! I had to look puddingstones up - I don't recall seeing any but I wasn't looking for them. I'll have to keep an eye out the next time I'm back!
