The Beauty of Slow Travel 🐌 Seeing the World as a Local

While I do enjoy adventuring all over the world and hopping from place to place, there’s something special about getting to know somewhere in depth and feeling as though you’ve become a local for a certain period of time. Over the past few years, I’ve spent quite a bit of time traveling through France with my best friend, who’s shown me how to live in the present and enjoy the simple things in life, like sharing a good meal with those who matter most 🫶🏼
There are a few reasons why slow travel is more beneficial:
•Deep cultural immersion: Slow travel allows you to understand the local culture and lifestyle better.
•Rediscovery of simplicity: Slow traveling lets you appreciate simple and small things that are often overlooked in our rushed lives.
•Reduced stress: You can relax and enjoy your travels more without the need to rush from one place to another.
•Cost-effective: Slow travel can be more economical as you can take advantage of long-stay discounts and live like a local.
•Environmentally friendly: Slow travel often involves fewer flights, resulting in lower carbon emissions.
•Greater flexibility: You have more time to explore and can change your plans at a moment's notice.
•More meaningful experiences: You can build more meaningful connections with the places and people you encounter.
Hope you enjoyed this quick vlog! I can’t wait to share where I’m going next ✈️

Thank you! France is very well connected by their train and bus systems but I will say it’s much easier to navigate this area by car. It also gives you the freedom to move around and plan your own schedule so I highly recommend it!
