The thing is, the only reason she was doing that on that day was because everything was in chaos, you can hear them debating what to do about George being gone in the background. When this moment comes at the end of Part One, you can see she's basically giving them the green flag to start making Helter Skelter Part Two - Everybody just bashes their instruments and screams for a few minutes, trying to externalize the tension of that moment. They weren't ready to stage an intervention at George's place yet. They were all still too mad.

If Yoko had gone into absurdist/surreal humour instead of abstract "art" she would be far more loved

@@PossiblyTheRealSirSqualo maybe. or she just went off, like yoko tended to, he just thought it was funny and wanted to screw with john, as paul was sometimes known to do. you need to remember, Paul was the "class clown" of the group, and he and john tended to screw with eachother's heads a lot. prime example: listen to paul's vocals on "Maxwell's silver hammer". after they wrote and released Revolution, Across the Universe, and Come Together, John's ego was somewhat inflated(voice of a generation, and all that), and some people have suggested paul wrote a couple intentionally "stupid" songs like "Maxwell's silver hammer" just to screw with John and bring him back down to earth. essentially it was like making aretha franklin do a cover of "The wheels on the bus", lol. apparently as a result, John got "revenge" by mooning paul through the control booth window while he was recording, resulting in the little chuckle during the vocals. paul kept that sense of humor well after the beatles breakup and eventual assassination of Lennon. during the height of the "Paul is dead" conspiracy(which suggested the CIA killed and replaced him with a body double), paul tended to roll with it and pretend to be the "Fake Paul". he was on a talk show once and was asked if he "Had anything to say about the fake paul", and he responded something like "Well, he's me. I'm him!"

Hearing this along with the animation really just sells the fact that these two LOVED each other, to an insane degree, you can tell John wasn't bothered by any of these antics because he was so infatuated with Yoko's mind.

After watching get back, I feel like this is a rare occurrence. Considering this is just audio, we don't know how the others reacted. Whoever isn't playing the piano doesn't seem to be doing anything, and whoever is seems to just be having fun. I really think Yoko being in the studio is more of a problem because it broke their rule, not because of how annoying she was.

I definitely loved the anime feel of the scene. I always loved anime, and also a Beatles fan.

For some reason.... I really dig this. It's batshit crazy annoying but fuck is got a beat and it tells a story. Fucking artists, man.

Yoko is the perfect example of a partner who creates scenes solely for attention. Might be the most annoying thing to deal with in friend groups because you can never call them out on it or you’ll never see your friend again because they’ll almost always choose their girl over you. I feel for the other 3, I’ve been there where you just want it to stop but you have to sit there and either pretend not to hear it or pretend it’s funny.

Give credit to Paul for staying sane. Cause he and John were actually going to start throwing fist. Paul was the bigger man that day
