The Bears have stolen the Ravens' offense, and nobody is profiting more than Chicago’s quarterback Justin Fields. The Bears were one of the worst offenses in the league, but when they finally stole bits and pieces of the Ravens' offense, now they're suddenly one of the best. Fields has used his legs more and is ripping off big runs like never before, so what exactly did the Bears steal, how do they put their own wrinkles on it, and how can defenses adjust? This week’s episode uses the all-22 coaches film to analyze Chicago Bears Quarterback Justin Fields.

for those that dont know, nick cannon was the old cartoon mascot for kraft dinner. back in the 1970s, he would appear in tv commercials, half-man, half-cannon, and fire at the kitchen cupboard, loading up the shelves with little boxes of kraft dinner for kids to enjoy. just in the "nick" of time, as the old slogan goes.

It's pretty simple but yes. The defenders that are usually tasked with guarding a TE on routes now have a LOT more to worry about because they're the same defenders that have to play against that option and zone read game. OLB and SS. Ok cool stay disciplined at the line and stop Fields, Montgomery, and Herbert. ✅ Also guard a 6'6" TE 30 yards downfield who blocks like a lineman on most plays. ❌

And to think, the Bears have had chances to beat the Commanders, Dolphins, Vikings, Cowboys and Lions this year, but were either failed by their defense, robbed by the refs (Fins game), receivers dropping passes that hit them in the hands (Commanders game, but pretty much every game), or doing stupid crap like not running out of bounds during their 2 minute drill and getting the ball embarrassingly stripped, sealing their loss (Vikes game).

Games 4 and 5 Justin had monster games throwing 4TD’s in each from the pocket. Then he got hurt. When he came back the used a combination of run and pocket passing. With the right scheme JF should create a high scoring offense.

If anything it really changes up the shotgun look for mobile QBs who can throw. As oppose to QBs who want to play under shotgun often but don't have the talents to threaten a seamless RPO game.

There are some qbs you can tell just aren't ready yet to run this kind of offense. This is why Lamar has been so remarkable. He can run ANY offense. Remember, he had to master 3 entirely different offenses in less than 2 years as a rookie and sophomore. As Fields begin playing more and more you will slowly begin to realize just how much of an elite and cerebral player he is and has to be in order to play that style of football.

How about that... They were actually using systems that benefit these mobile quarterbacks instead of just trying to make them into something they are not. Jalen hurts is a good example of this. Lamar Jackson's MVP year really did set a standard on how to develop a fast quarterback I just personally wished they use the pistol formation more but that's just me

and no teams stay healthy all year, so maybe a system that depends 100% on everyone being completely healthy all year and being able to gel is not as good as one where you can sub new guys in and out and keep winning. They have only averaged 13 ppg in their playoff games with Lamar. Obviously their system is not a long term solution.

Justin Fields is great. I've always been high on him, but this year he's just proving me right. 749 rushing yards is crazy! And the Bears really have got something going with their new offensive style. I have a friend who's a Bear's fan who insists that Justin Fields is the best quarterback in the league. I don't believe him -- yet. But that statement isn't as absurd as I once believed it to be.

You didn't understand a single thing he said in the video lol. It's not smoke and mirrors. They're designed run concepts that force the read defense player to pick between covering double option runs or a throw. A flea flicker is smoke and mirrors. This is an actual run offense.

Then its up to the teams they face in their schedule with the run defenses to slow down or stop Fields. Any goober with legs at QB can run this but Fields getting space at the sides can rip it for 20+ yards and potentially a game breaking TD. Lamar is the only other TD in between the 20s whose a threat with his legs to have explosive runs like this at QB. Its not like teams can load up the box against Fields and have him stop running either when the Bears are punishing most teams on single high safety looks.

@@wellitsherenow First, I'm sorry I hurt you so much that you felt the need to respond to this thread, again... But just because you don't understand anything about Football doesn't mean you need to be ridiculed. For your sake, I'll break down today's game for you and then you can explain to me why you think he can't throw a football. JF 14/21 (66% completion percentage). Incompletions = 3 batted passes, 1 dropped catch, 2 balls thrown out of bounds, and 1 deep overthrow. 1 INT off the dropped pass. 1 passing TD for 16 yards I think? His only missed throw was a deep shot. Players are usually between 30-50% accurate on those. You can't win them all. 3 batted balls is a lot, but not uncommon for a bad/young O-Line that doesn't keep D-Linemen from jumping. 1 dropped pass, not Justin's fault, and 2 throwaways which protects the ball and down and distance. This is pretty efficient for a QB, especially when the INT you throw isn't your fault. He can only run the plays he given and the coaching staff obviously leaned on his ability to run today. So much that in the final 2 minutes they call QB sweep and he's hurt as he's pushed out of bounds, second play the call QB draw and they hurt his left shoulder. 3rd play is the bobbled pass/INT. Justin is not being asked to throw frequently, hence his stats, but nothing about the numbers today can lead anyone to believe he can't throw a football, but I'd love to hear your rebuttal.
