    Haven't tuned in to this channel since Stranger Things 4, but I'd be remiss if I didn't commend you three on the improvements of your intro and speaking in general.... endowing much more confidence in expressing your thoughts with insights, calm, and presence. Time/experience has definitely improved your game... all three of you need to be praised for this.

    Fun fact. Carmy throws away a small can of tomato sauce in episode 1, so yeah, few hundred/thousand in the trash 😅. Also, kudos to the show for using a Radiohead song that’s not Creep.

    I think a lot of people were confused about what the money meant since it was just the money owed to Cicero so finding it just meant it evened out existing debt. But I think what it means is that Carmy has leverage for his new project. He still owes Cicero, but instead of just repaying that debt he can now use it as seed money that he wouldnt be able to access from anywhere else and can pay Cicero off from the profits later. Also, I love that the only member of the cast who is an actual chef (and a famous one at that) doesn't even play a chef on the show. Cheers to Matty Mattheson!

    I took it as Micheal, kind of from the start trying to help out Carmy. When he is having that bad dream in the beginning you can hear michaels voice encouraging him. He didnt let Carmy work with him in the resteraunt cause he thought he could do better than that restaraunt. He put the money in the cans overtime, left the resteraunt TO Carmy, and before he shot himself he wrote the note. That was a hint to use the smaller cans that the money was in. "The smaller cans taste better".

    The running theme to me is how it is hard to risk without a safety net. It's sad to learn that Mike planned his suicide more than anyone realized, but he left his restaurant family a safety net that he didn't have 😢

    I’m not sure if you guys have talked about it before but the actor who plays Fak is actually a pretty well-known chef! He (Matty Matheson) was one of the consultant chefs for the show, and he’s got a pretty popular KZread channel. It makes his storyline a fun little joke

    Excited but nervous for s2 because s1 felt so complete - it could honestly have just been a mini series and would have been so satisfying! The note having the family meal recipe with the small cans note is just so satisfying. I love Marcus being inspired by Carmy and then finding out Sydney was also inspired by him. It was such a surprising instant favorite when it came out. Excited for s2!

    As amazing as that monologue was, I also have to give a moment of appreciation for how well Ebon Moss-BachRach did throughout the incarceration scenes. He managed to convey such frailty, fear, self-loathing, and self reflection between the scenes in his cell, and that phone call to Tiff. He's been perfectly cast to be an asshole, but I felt so badly for him there.

    I have mixed feelings. Like, good them on their success and for getting a Season 2 greenlit, but this is one of those occasions where the show feels like a near-perfect contained story to me. Drawing things out because of its popularity/success can end up doing more bad than good sometimes. Guess we'll find out.

    As a chef, one time I made a dish my father in law called the best thing he ever tasted. I have been trying to replicate that FOR YEARS. Still can't quite do it. The pursuit of perfection is simultaneously exhilarating and infuriating. My wife's father can absolutely throw down, and he has experience. That shit meant something to me, so I will always chase that.

    Interesting fact about the handyman name is matty matheson. he is actually a chef in real life. He was the executive chef of Parts & Labour, a restaurant located in Toronto, Ontario, Had his own a cooking shows and wrote two cookbooks. The scene where he want to be a chef but Richard didn’t hire him so funny to me because it is an inside joke and instead he's a handyman.

    Richie’s good ending will be when he is done in the restaurant business. He is attached for the wrong reasons, and his anger, is next level. He has shown it way too many times in this tiny season. He also was not defending in that fight, he entered the fight after it began.- Richie needs to look at his life, and back away. Being a cousin isn’t a good enough of a reason to employ someone.

    Not really. Usually there's a table read at the beginning, then during filming they rehearse scenes the day of shooting a couple of times, then shoot. A 7 minute monolog is a fucking beast for a pure TV actor. Now stage actors, especially leads, have to remember a whole show because it's done live, but that's why they get to rehearse for months before the first showing.

    @@eliezeririzarry247 they rehearse scenes to test different blocking and to get notes from the director about their performance, not to learn lines. They have to know the dialogue before the rehearsal

    @@kassiogomes8498 Not correct. I'm sure there are some actors that came up in different worlds who dedicate themselves to acting like it' stage acting no matter what they're on, but TV actors don't memorize a whole script. It wouldn't make sense or be effective time-wise, when they can remember only what is needed for the scenes being shot that day. That's why productions have schedules and actors are only present for the days they have scenes.

  • @kassiogomes8498

    @kassiogomes8498

    Жыл бұрын

    @@eliezeririzarry247 shooting schedules aren't about actors not being able to memorize lines lol. They film as many scenes as possible. The number of scenes shot in a day depends on factors like if they are filming in a sound stage or if it's on location, if the scenes require difficult blocking, or how many set ups are necessary to get all the angles. It isn't about memorizing lines. The actors know their lines for all the scenes they have to film. If not, they are being unprofessional.
