I don’t know why people keep asking’ how come Koreans never break out?’ or ‘why do they all have good skin?’ They don’t. Marketing and photoshop makes it seem that way, plenty of Korean people have porous, acne ridden skin and that’s fine and perfectly normal. There is no magical skincare ingredient that you can get in market place that will just fix issues like acne. You may have to visit a doctor or pharmacist for prescription medication and a lot of it has to do with diet, exercise, environment. A lot of people who come into my clinic are Korean, looking for medication and topical creams to solve their skin problems. Please dispel this myth, I don’t want people thinking any particular group of people has perfect skin, it’s simply not true.

@@sonderyt I did work in Korea as a plastic surgeon when I was younger, and did dermatology rotations around the clinics. It is true that I had many young people come into my clinic, but it is also true that many of these treatments can be considered very expensive for many Koreans. We must consider the large wage disparity amongst the wealthy and the poor in Korea, and that many simply can’t afford luxury treatments to perfect their skin.

You forgot to mention why bb creams and most korean make-up and skincare does not make you have break outs: It's non comedogenic. We didn't have that in western products until a few years ago (or very seldom/+ on very expensive akne creams from the doctor)

  • @PiXie232

Non comedogenic is just a buzz word in the skincare and makeup industry- there’s actually not even a legal definition for it and any brand can claim it’s “non comedogenic” without meaning anything. It’s one of the many, many buzz words (natural, non toxic, CLEAN.. etc) in the industry that don’t legally mean a thing and companies use them however they want and everyone has a different view of what they mean.

But they test it on animals if I remember correctly, sometimes on rabbits it ears, which are sensitive but not human skin. So just because it won’t clog an animals skin doesn’t mean it won’t clog human skin. There’s always a chance whether that’s big or very small that it will clog pores.

My sister uses this BB cream. She can't go out on the sun because of a medical condition so she's lighter than me and our mother; we're more on the light-medium skin tone range while my sister is just pale. She uses the shade No. 13, so she has it all to herself (lol).

I remember this BB cream! I had no.23 back in the day when they didn't have shades 27 and 31 available. Do you know if they have a cushion version of this nowadays? Thank you for covering this product on your channel ❤😊

So truee back then bb creams always comes in that bottle look around where I lived too 😂 but I’m glad I was wary more toward the packaging look since here doesn’t sell authentic quality product and they were more to the stupid side of people who wants to ruin their skin for the sake of whitening effects (whitecast) as quick as in 2 days as it claims

In my home country most young women dont wear makeup everyday. When I studied here with Korean exchange students and they showed me how rhey look at home I was very surprised by how different they can look.

It’s best to use sunscreen separately though, because people don’t wear enough of the product with the SPF to offer full protection, of course not everyone wants to slatter foundation on their face like sunscreen. So use sunscreen first

As a korean, all those youtubers advertising products saying "every korean has used this before" or smth like that, i have NEVER heard or seen any of these products before. (I literally go to olive young everyday) the only times i actually see a product that i know is when they aren't advertising and they're actually recommending products genuinely.

I love this bb cream, it was the first Korean makeup product I tried. I got the shade 21 and it was a bit too dark for me, so I'll try 13 next. The only problem is that these are a bit difficult to get a hold off in Finland 😭

My mom (who is 62) uses this BB cream! She's astonished, cause it's not only covers her imperfections, it also doesn't clog pores and smoothes her wrinkles. A real game changer for her :)
