Took me a minute to come around to your vids because I'm a 53 yr old fart. In 1982 I was 11 and we had 1 TV that I had control of only on Saturday morning until maybe noon. We only got 2 and a half stations as the 3rd took some dexterity moving the antenna around. It was that station I first discovered professional wrestling. Midsouth to be exact where I was introduced to Mr Wrestling 2, Magnum TA, The Junkyard Dog and The Rock and Roll and Midnight Express. Life was good. Keep growing your channel brother, I'm in

I wrestled for a short time with Nick Foley/Dalton Kelly. That promo was filmed in the late 2000's - early 2010's because he cut off the hair. Stalwart in the Florida wrestling indies. Mostly in Central /Orlando/Tampa area. Chick Foley....YES. ICP had one on their JCW DVD's back in the 2000's.

@@bignachomane i was still a student under Afa The Wild Samoan who runs WXW in Minneola, Fl as a learning environment for his Wild Samoan Training Center students. I had to step away due to a family emergency so Afa (aka "Pops") was kind enough to pay me back what i paid to learn. Pops literally just got out of the hospital & rehabilitation yesterday at 81 years old after 2 major heart attacks & spinal surgery. Keep him in your prayers. It was a great learning experience on discipline. I lost 100lbs during training through weightlifting & cardio. Its no joke lol ring drills suuuuucked. Met Haku, Usos, Tama Tonga, Rikishi, the whole family (even Roman Reigns & The Rock. It was wild to see him in person. The Fatu & Anoa'i family's are really cool.

The thing is people been doin that long before youtube. kids have always rough housed and emulated wrestlers. Alot of pro wrestlers started out having fun like that, wrestling in backyards and living rooms. the most notable being Mick Foley who jumped off his roof onto a pile of stuff (emulating Jimmy Snuka jumping off the cage at MSG). they were filming with a home video camera. years later it was show on Raw as part of them talking about Mankind's origins. I think that was the genesis along with the violence of ECW that spawned a new generation of backyard wrestlers hitting eachother with chairs and barbedwire (and fire). Still doing home video tapes. Eventually a company formed that collected sent in material and made Backyard Wrestling video tapes which collected the clips along with music. there were several volumes. Eventually this success lead to the Backyard Wrestling video game BYW: Dont Try This at Home which got a sequel. in the 2010s i remember watching backyard wrestling on youtube. they were reenacting choreographed style wrestling tho, lots of hurricaranas and flashy moves. less hitting eachother with lightubes and chairs. had some ppl i was pals with in HS who told me of their backyard wrestling fed and told me they were selling dvds. i kinda wish i bought one. they were hurting eachother with previously mentioned objects tho. i was fine just having matches with a stuffed Ultimate Warrior by myself lol.

You should do a video on The Rob.... not that one in the video, but UWO (a CAW wrestling fed [basically, you create your wrestlers in any wrestling game and book it like an actual company]) had an original created wrestler called The Rob, complete with The Rock's entrance, moves and theme song.... or just do a video on CAW in general. They bomb shelter is a farm storage building. One of my local indies ran out of one and actually got one of their wrestlers on NXT and booked Ace Austin when they were not being fleeced by Jerry Fargo (a clone and not to be confused with JACKIE Fargo)

@@bignachomane Blake Chrisitan who is in AEW now, he was all over the southern/lower midwest scene when I was going to indies regularly. I lived in MO but was in driving distance of Trenton TN which has TIWF wrestling which still runs to this day. They are a crazy mix of legit (they booked James Storm and would have had a ton of Impact wrestlers but COVID messed it up, some of their wrestlers have had WWE try outs) and stupid (there are a couple guys who I sware to god are wrestling drunk and guy got his neck broken in a match after he and his opponent tried to "wing" a new finisher in a match). Every time I went there I thought I was going to be stabbed to death but the show was great. Jerry Fargo is also all over that area who claims to be a big wrestler from the 80s who I can find nothing on but a few hundred view youtube vids from the last 10 years and his name is unsearchable due to Jackie Fargo and the movie Fargo which has a Jerry in it

As crazy as this sounds, apparently "Dick Foley" claims to be the actual Mick Foley's nephew! In some shows they even advertise his as such. I guess after the real Mick called out this fake, I assume people realize this is not true.
