@@Flavor88 Historians have a pretty good idea of history, especially 14th century history. They know that Milos Obilic was Serbian foe example, not Albanian. It even says so in the Albanian Wikipedia article. sq.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millosh_Kopiliqi Also, the map showing "Albanian Teritories" what is that? That is completely made up. You won't find a single historian who agrees with it. There isn't a single map made by a proper historian that shows those territories as "Albanian" in the 14th century. Rewriting history to your liking is not a good thing. And you can usually tell that something is fantasy if only nationalists and patriots as well as non-historians believe in it.

Talk about it cuzo. I love the facts you brought forth.

I am really glad to see that you are interested in this very important event, it is also interesting to see how your people see this event completely opposite to other people. Actually, it is difficult to understand you as an objective person when every time you mention Serbian names or some historical documents made by Serbs you have to say that they were made by nationalists or amateurs. Skenderbeg was Serb. His mother was Vojisava of Polog. Names of his family memebers were serbian. Benedikt Kupresic in 15th century name him as Miloš Kobiljevic and Konstantin Mihalovic, 15th century. mention him in his book also

Source for that is Historia de Jacob Xalabin (History of Yacub Celebi). It is very possible. This video has many flaws and a very few sources, and not a single contemporary one (14. or 15. century).

This is thus inventing a new history according to the needs of creating the identity of a fictional nation. According to all the evidence that exists even today and you have not yet managed to destroy and change it, it is known exactly who fought in Kosovo in 1389. Even Skanderbeg whom you mention does not have the identity you attribute to him. Even your historians are aware of this. You can pay whom you want and think what you want, but you cannot change history and the past. You will always remain a small, hilly, wild people who begged the Serbs to give them part of their territory. The Serbian mistake is that they took pity on the poor.

Sounds very baseless young woman. In the end of the day, Serbia didn't give anything but hell to the people it wanted to control. If it wasn't for US and NATO involvement, Albanians in Kosovo would have perished, but thank god that didn't happen and they got their right to freedom. Don't forget that Albanians were christians too, and participated in the war against the ottomans. Its the fiction of Serbia to claim the whole war as its own victory to create a national feeling. In the end of the day, Albanians haven't made a fuss about 1389, they went for Skenderbeg as their representative.

We can pay whom we want? Girl, we can’t even survive ourselves, let alone to pay others. In regards to your pretentious that you gave us territory, its not logical. You can never give immigrants the best part of the land. We live on the seaside and you came from Russia on 6th century. There are historical fact for slavic invasions on 6th century but there are no historical facts for albanian invasions. And if supposedly we came later in Balkans and you gave us land, you would never gjve us the seaside and keep what you have now. As per Skanderbeg, he declared himself Prince of Epirus, descended of Alexander the Great and Pirro of Epirus. In no documents or any part of history slavs are related to Epirus. So again your argument falls off. The one who pays for their history is your country. We have always been disadvantaged because of our financial situation. Our historians are so poor that they would happily accept money from anyone to not make this studies. We don’t have historians, we don’t have a serious academic institution. This channel and many other albanians who are interested in history are working much harder than our historians who are asleep.

By Blood many Serbians, Macedonians Greek of today are Albanian, but culturally speak other languages, have different religions and love their native country more or whatever ideology it has implanted on them. Also you have many Greeks, Serbs, Bulgars, Bosnians, Egyptians who have been integrated in Ottoman Empire have been islamised and today they live among Albanians speak Albanian and think are more Albanians than some others. So at the end we are the same people using demagogy to give some right and others wrong. Btw there were Albanians also at the side of the Ottomans, which albanian is better the one with or against the Turks, that changes with times, today we are under west influence we hate everything against Turks, Serbs etc, in Communism we loved Communist Countries including Serbia, in Ottoman time we were the main army and held many officials position and we lived and died for the Sultan!!!!!!

And it's funny because it's the same name of an Illyrian tribe named "Albanoi" who were settled in central Albania. In our language, we call our country "Shqipëria" (Arberia in the Middle Ages) and ourselves "Shqipëtar". There's no other region with this name other than our territories. With your logic, if a region was found in Mongolia, with the name Greece, are Greeks mongols then?

Marash is a serbian name and northern albanians are closer in relation to Serbs , especially those of Montenegro then the siptari from kosovo. The siptari that resemble Egyptians are originally mostly from Azerbaijan and those areas and were brought to the balkans as auxiliary troops and people that would take care of the lands left behind by the serbs. The siptar language alone is the only non European language in Europe which is a direct product of turks and their colonization of serbs lands. Albanian epic poetry is culture inherited from thier serbian ancestors. The croats and the bosnians had the common sense to take serbian epic poetry out of their culture when they decided to seperate from the serbian national being whilst the albanians just renamed it to albanian epic poetry. Skendebegs brother's and sisters had serbian names and his mother was vojislava. Gis father was buried in a serbian orthodox monastery. I would advise you guys to stop stealing our history and culture but if you do borrow our culture has the common decency to admit its Serbian.

@@ChildrenOfTheEagle I know what it says in the charter to hilandar by skenderbegs father and brother and also his brother reposh was buried in hilandar and on his burial site it writes -Repoš Kastriot was buried in 1431. Above his grave it writes: ”Za spas njegove duše obraćaju se Bogorodici Sveti Georgije i srpski svetitelji Simeon i Sava.” this means their Slava was Saint George. I am sorry that I don't know what it writes on his father's grave but I hope you can let me know. Thank you and God bless.

"The infidel named Skender, who was the son of the ruler of Albania, the sultan had given him vilayets as a fief." Notice that he does not mention the word Serb or Slav, but Albanian. Regarding Siant George's tower in Hilandar, there are actually two deeds of donation by Gjone Kastrioti written in the year 6934 of the Byzantine calendar, between 1425-26, which were discovered by medievalist V. Grigorovic in 1848. In act one it is stated that.. "I, Gjon Kastrioti with my sons Stanish, Reposh, Konstandin and Gjergj, have agreed to donate the villages of Radostushe as well as the village of Trebisht with the church of Saint Mary of Paperlye located in that village, to the right of the monastery of Hilandari..." As for act two, which has no date, it says.. "I Gjon Kastrioti, have shown the desire to buy the Pirgu of Saint George for me and my sons as our last resting place..." hence the tower of Saint George is still known as the Albanian tower, (Арбанашки пирг), romanized: Arbanaški pirg. But hey.. I guess these facts aren't that important, right?

He did not mention what he was ethnically but only that he ruled over Albania. That's right they donated those two villages which are in Macedonia. Yes you are right about the povelja. I agree that the facts you stated are important but I don't see how they prove that Djuradj Kastriot Skenderbeg was an Arbanas? Why is it so hard for you to believe that djuradj kastriot was Serbian? If he was Albanian why would his brother and father want to be buried in a Serbian orthodox monastery and not any but hilandar?he could of been burried in an Albanian monastery and not on an island in Greece. I'm really confused as to why you guys can't accept that Skenderbeg is a great hero that both Albanians and Serbs can celebrate and be proud of. The Albanians ( especially those from north Albania) and the Serbs before the ottomans arrived were very close culturally and ethnically and they also were orthodox and they did not fight each other but on the contrary they battled together against common enemies. Only after the Turks arrived in the Balkans and converted the Albanians did our two people's start fighting.

@not-much-but-enough Here is the reference to the work of the Ottoman historians - Aşıkpaşazade - osmanoğulların tarihi. At times, Skanderbeg is actually referred to as an Albanian but more then often he is referred to as an Epirot. This is also written on Skanderbeg's famous helmet, which says, IN*PE*RA*TO*RE*BT - meaning - Jesus Nazarene*Prince of Emathia*King of Albania**Terror of the Ottomans*King of Epirus*Blessed Thee. Considering that in all of Skanderbeg's written letters, he never once referred to himself as a Serb or a Greek but as an Albanian lord. One perfect example is Skanderbeg's famous letter that he wrote to the Italian nobleman Giovanni Antonio Orsini on October 10, 1460, where he said... "Moreover, you scorn our people, claiming the Albanians as nothing more than sheep, and according to your customs think of us with only insults. It would seem you know nothing of the origins of our race. Our elders were the Epirotes from whence Pyrrhus himself came forth, the might of whom the Romans could barely withstand. Those very Epirotes whom with their weapons set forth and conquered Taranto and much of Italy. …” Personally, I have the highest respect for all people in the Balkans who admit that Skanderbeg was Albanian but why is it so hard for you to believe that Gjergj Kastrioti was Albanian even though he states in most of his letters that he was Albanian?

You all do know Miloš is a made up figure hows onlye job was to make the death of Sultan Murad look better since he was the last Sultan to die in battle. First records of him are way way afther the battle took place. A more trust whorthy source that was for the time of the Battle is the letter from the ruler of Florence to King Trtko of Bosnia in which it says Murad made an error in jugment and sent his guard to help end the Battle faster oping him up for a heavy cavalry charge.
