The report is one eyed and biased. Without mining how the demand of the entire world will be meet isn't given any highlight. Copper, lithium etc. are found in nature and sometimes deep under the surface so without digging and disturbing the earth and nature how it could be extracted from nature is never thought. All of these are for human and if these are left untouched just to preserve the nature it is quite an illogical and irrelevant discussion. Remember, hunan can't do a little harm to nature permanently but for a time being nature temps to rebound it's original state. What is the use of keping valuable mineral underneath the surface unless it is used for the benefits of humankind.

The copper should go to the citizenry now.... After the pandemic I believe that there should be projects to uplift the living standards of every citizen of Chile. They should have little cost/expense for transportation fuel and electricity. A shift to EV and Solar panels for homes should be made available. It will reduce the cost of doing business here as well as lowering prices of farm products and groceries. The metal stockpiled and stored can be used to "gold standard" the Chilean currency.... Billions of Dollars can be mined there....🧲

Jajajja compartir la riqueza con la gente? Jamás pasará estimado John, las empresas preferirian destruirse a si mismas antes de dar siquiera un poco. Y estos gobiernos comunistas si lograran hacer algo, solo se robarían el dinero como siempre lo han hecho. Pero es cierto, nuestra moneda ya sea por el cobre más el litio, debería ser fuerte, pero no es así! El litro de petroleo esta a casi 2 dolares. Como en el mundo entero se esta viendo (no solo en Chile sino hasta en los paises más ricos), una mezcla de politicos socialistas confabulados con las grandes corporaciones son los que toman todo, hasta el último centavo y destruyen a la gente.
