A while ago I reviewed the Braun Series 9 Pro an excellent shaver and successor for my Phillips Series 9000.
But which one is better? Are the both equal? We find out in this Video:

Foil shavers have a much closer shave. I shaved once side with a rotary and the other with foil, and there's a huge difference.

@@johnhebert3855 This is why Braun made the gap on the shave in the middle a little larger (with the latest update) to capture the larger hairs better. Not sure if it really improved its performance.

Don`t now that brand, but the Braun does definitely a good job. I am usually quite lazy with shaving so it has to deal with longer hairs and compared to the Philips it does a much better job!

The Norelco is harder and more time consuming to clean because you have to remove 3 heads for a thorough cleaning. The Braun you can remove the entire head in one piece.

@@MrVirael If you remove the 3 heads and inspect the blades, you will see a buildup of skin oil and dead skin cells. Ordinary rinsing in water will not remove it. Eventually, the buildup acts like sludge and reduces the amount of close shave possible. The only way to remove the sludge is to physically remove the blades and brushing them off in rubbing alcohol.

Ive had both, my Phillips lasted 2-3 years not the best shave. The braun 9 Series lasted 6 years. Just broke a pin in the head. I'm on eBay trying to buy a used S9 Pro. Can't go wrong the rectangle shape is much better. The Norelco trimmer is better. Braun trimmer never really worked. The braun dock sucks, died after 2 years. I remember the Phillips hurt my face if I skipped shaving a day. The Braun would have even better if I gice my face a break of 2 days (weekend). No pain with Braun. I do shave daily as I'm Military.
