I've seen The Batman three times at the cinema. In regards to the aspects of framing, pacing, editing, cinematography, lighting and colouring, it is a masterpiece. It's a very good detective noir movie dressed across the greatest comic book adaptation to the big screen, ever. Acting performances range from strong to incredible across the roster of well designed, nuanced characters. Dialogue is very tight and nothing feels wasted during its 2hr 56min running time. I have no fucking idea how this film exists. A fucking outrageous explosive "noir car chase" is not a thing I can comprehend seeing in a film, yet I have witnessed it three times. The entire fucking film drips with style but never feels contrived nor gimmicky. We are given a level of darkness and introspection to the Batman character never before explored that I wish to see developed further. The score is nothing short of incredible throughout. Aside from repeated childhood viewings of the Keaton Batman movies, I had never previously seen a Batman movie I felt I needed to or really wanted to watch again. This film is cinematic as fuck.

I loved the dark knight as well, but that was primarily due to the acting villain most likely as the other films in the trilogy while good, i never cares to revwatch.

I saw the movie today. I think this was the best interpretation of young Bruce Wayne's transfirmation into Batman. He has growing to do, which is obvious in his interactions with Alfred. Zoe kravitz is wonderful as catwoman. Colin Farrell needs to get an Oscar nod next year for supporting actor. As well as John tuturro. The cinematography was amazing. The writing was very good, in fact, brilliant and flawless. A true nod to film noir of years ago. Robert Patterson has made outstanding career choices for his young age. I hope there is a sequel. I bet he will be fantastic.

I can notice a little bite of Arkham series! Amazing!

I saw the The Batman two days ago. Ever since my early childhood I have loved watching the batman films and reading the comics along with many other heroes and villians. Overtime, I was wishing for a different style of batman, a jump out of the norm of the origin story....and this is exactly that. This three hour movie was an amazing experience and truly a masterpiece, which I don't say about DC movies often (with the exception of regards to batman movies). As soon as I stepped out of the theatre, I fully comptemplated for a few minutes buying another ticket to go back inside to watch it again. As a nerd, I wanted to truly dive into was this movie was, and that is exactly what happened, due to the fact I was in a theatre filled with other nerds who were filled with the same anticipation as I was for this movie. The cast's talents and skill sets on the focus of this edition of The Batman is perfect, each person portraying the iconic characters perfectly, yet in a completely new light--again it was PERFECT. The design aesthetic and cinematography that went into the 3 hour movie was simply amazing-- and WELL worth the wait since its original release date in 2021. The music is ASTOUNDING for each scene, and plays so nicely transitionally. I've been listening to the music non-stop since seeing the movie in the theatre. I PRAY we get a trilogy out of this. In personal opinion, this movie alone was better than the entire DKT. I congratulate all the main cast, and the different artistic departments that helped create this movie--you all are practically heroes for us comic and movie junkies waiting for a new batman!! The entire building up of the movie was created by pure people of all different fields of artistic talent, this is truly a cinematic masterpiece, and deserves many awards. As another commenter below put (msmith1845): "The entire film drips with style." ABSOLUTELY! and its a style that I've been truly looking forward to seeing as a fan. Dark, sinsister, moving, strategic, and filled with moments of power and moments of fall. I WILL be watching this movie over and over again, just like I am listening to this playlist! Lets go Vengeance!!
