Not counting the occasional balance tweak and minor change here and there, Starblast's Team Mode has received its first major update in almost a year. This update added the gem transfer feature: by holding V, you can eject gems from your cargo, allowing an ally to pick them up. There are also now aliens that spawn near the sun in team games, which can be a great source of gems early on.
Overall, the Barracuda can be both a very bad ship, and an extremely good ship. With dense asteroids to mine and fight in, and a healer at your back, you can mine incredibly fast, upgrade your team (or mine the base), and slam enemy players apart with ease. In a sparse map, the Barracuda can easily be killed by faster, more agile opponents.
