It takes a special breed to do what we do. I have been a lineman for over 42 years now and have been called to numerous Hurricane, Tornado, Fire and Ice storms. We do it because we love it and it is in our blood. I missed many sports activities when my kids were growing up. When the power is out, we are on our way. God has kept me safe all these years and I pray for God to keep ALL of my FELLOW LINEMAN BROTHERS SAFE as well. We are a very close nit family. A big thank you to the BAND STEELE for such an amazing song. May God Bless Each and Every Lineman out there and their families.

My husband Buzz King missed so many holiday dinners with us because the power went out somewhere in Grant County and he was called out. His mindset was if he didn't go they wouldn't have heat, lights and be able to sit down to dinner with their families. Sometimes he was gone for a couple of days, lots of times, 12 to 24 hours. He passed away in June of this year and we played this at his celebration of life. It really hit home to many. His crews were young guys like these in the video. He was a line foreman for 45 years. His crews worked hot. Miss him. God Bless all of those who are still working.

And their wives are incredibly strong. They live in fear everyday their husbands go to work. Excuse me... you ARE heroes! As a (retired) medical professional, I can tell you that electricity is VITAL to hospitals, all medical facilities, home patients dependent on oxygen or respirators, or other medical devices powered by electricity. When the power goes off, the countdown begins! Backup generators can only last so long. You DO SAVE LIVES!

when I first heard this song I was amazed at how true and sincere it was. I thought of all the linemen that have fallen. Although I don't know anyone who is a lineman, I knew it would take great courage to work on those lines and know that you may not come back one day and still keep working on them. R.I.P to all the fallen lineman. Amazing, just amazing.

From pensacola, florida. We just went through hurricane sally, we were without power for a while due to so many lines on the ground and i saw linemen from all over the country leave their homes and family to come down here and put our lives back together, and to do " their job". My little baby girl sleeps in A.C., and my wife cooks our dinner on the stove , thanks to the men that put our lives back together. Thank you for all your long hours and dedication. Im grateful you chose the career you did. Much gratitude and respect from the gulf coast

My son Louis John, just left this morning as he heads to Lineman school in Denton TX , a 15 week college program. Please keep him in your prayers . I am such a proud mother to know the sacrifice ,unselfishness and dangerous career my son is willing to take on. When he mentioned what he wanted to do I was so proud of him and nervous to say the lease, but I know in my heart this is a calling for him, I believe it’s a calling from the Lord. So how this all got started because my son was trying to figure out what he wanted to do career wise , being he’s still young (31)... a friend of his is a lineman and introduced him to this career and said theres a demand for lineman’s , he said pay is great and very rewarding, and this is where this all got started. Thank for such a beautiful song , prayer to all the lineman especially those heading to Louisiana and Mississippi to repair lines. We are forever grateful. God Bless you all and thank you .🇺🇸🙏🏻

No disrespect to lineman because god knows we need them and so thankful for them as i live in florida where we have hurricanes and need lineman. But im a AC technician and we deal with high voltage electricity every day that could kill us. Just want to say be thankful for anyone who devotes there days work to make our daily living possible bevause there are inherent dangers in everyone of tjose fields. Lineman, electricians, AC technicians, and plumbers alike. We are not uneducated people that just didnt have any other choice. Very educated and hard working people. Good song and thank you to all of our trade workers.

Bo and Ben, I think of this song so often. I guess more than it should. Our little town, Flat Gap , KY ( Paintsville Kentucky) has been hit so hard by the ice storm and rain so hard. I am so thankful so all the lineman that have come to serve our little community. One special lineman, Scott Spencer in whom fell 27 fell from a pole that broke in which he was repairing the lines. He is from Campton, KY. He suffered two broken arms and a broken shoulder and other scrapes and bruises. It is amazing what these men do for us! The risk their life and the unknowing if they will even return home just for us! I am so thankful Scott Spencer made it with just a few broken bones. May God Bless All the Lineman!!!!!!!!!!
