@@semajbronson21 Very unusual indeed, but if I look and listen closely, only the middle trombone player plays the bass trombone part. Normal trombone section usually 4 tenor-trombones and 1 bass.

@@semajbronson21 it’s because the band are starved of trombone players. we’re desperate for more players and have some welsh guards trombonists joining the band in september

An absolutely beautiful video with clear explanations about who and what is being played! Nice details and very good sound, despite the strong wind! Beautiful tribute to John Williams with Olympic Spirit for his 90th birthday, played by the Band of the Welsh Guards! Thanks for this video!

Thank you, I’m glad you think so - it’s always a struggle with the wind. Indeed, a fitting tribute to John Williams and also the current Winter Olympics that’s happening!

A really superb video. Both bands play music respective to their repertoire and historical backgrounds. So lots of Guards and Highland related music. Nice to hear "Royal Edinburgh" and "Impressions On a Scottish Air" by RR of S Band. Perhaps next we see this band at Windsor?

Great video! Looks like WG band had a fill in from the HAC. Also great slow marching from the RRS Band drum major, very sharp. Glad the RRS band still exists and wasn't reorganised into another BAB. Looks like they use two different kind of harness for their side drums as well, very unusual.

Looks as though the Drum Major leading the Welsh Guards is the Irish Guards D/M. Now this Drum Major is extremely smart and has a great military bearing. Once again, superb music from these Guards musicians.

Great music played by the RRS Band. Their Drum Major is extremely smart but it looks as though he's sort of "dancing" when marching, which looks unusual to say the least. However, I don't mean to be rude but he's probably putting TOO MUCH effort into marching. (something I never thought possible) ..... Anyway, everyone on parade look extremely smart.
