The Band of Holy Joy - Tactless

Музыка

Temazo de los 80!!! no he oído nada más sobre este grupo, no debe ser muy conocido. El video es precioso y el cantante se le echa un aire a morrissey pero en versión fea, jejeje. De mis canciones favoritas de siempre, disfrutadlo

In between releasing records on Flim Flam back in the day , Johnny and a few of the other band members used to do casual work at Pinnacle Records , where I worked. Top bunch of people !!!! Top group of their time !!!! Rosemary Smith - BRILLIANT song !!!!

I WAS A PROGRAMMER AT A UNDERGROUND RADIO STATION BACK IN THE DAY AND I USE TO GET DEMOS IN MY MAILBOX AND THE MANIC CD WAS ONE. AFTER HEARING THAT I WAS HOOKED. BEING A PROGRAMMER AT THE STATION I WAS INTRODUCED TO SO MANY BANDS AND THROUGHOUT THE YEARS SOME HAVE STAYED WITH ME AS I MATURED AND SOME NOT. THESE GUYS HAVE STAYED...

The whole album from which this gem comes (Manic Magic Majestic) is utterly spellbinding. One of the greatest records ever made. YES, REALLY. Seldom has one clutch of songs stirred my emotions as much as this one.... it's all to do with what a lyrical genius Johny Brown is - and the incredible arrangements of every one of the 11 (or 12 in some cases) tracks contained within..... I defy anyone to listen to "What The Moon Saw" and not feel like they wanna break down in tears at its sheer power.

IV'E TRYED TO GET A HOLD OF THEIR CD A FEW YEARS AGO WITHOUT LUCK AND HERE THEY ARE WITH VIDEO TOO....NEVER SEEN THEIR VIDEOS. SUCH A UNIQUE BAND THE WAY THEY CAN MAKE TRAGIC HAPPENINGS SOUND SO BEAUTIFUL. LOVE THEM... THANKS AGAIN. AGAIN ANOTHER UNDERRATED BAND.

I've been looking for videos of BOHJ for so long. Thank you for posting this! And I agree with Pedrovilar, the early stuff was so good, where are the re-issues? I saw them during that period in London. Johnny Brown was brilliant.

Oh you were leaning over the wall gazing into some other world something lost, something destroyed oh if I knew what you were going through still you never know what's going on, in the other room until it's too late there's things now long gone and you can't bring them back to mention them in this house would just be tactless. Now d'you remember that swan that was shot in the park the hateful hurtful things you said to me in the dark corpses of coaches, buses and cars cont'd

that drunken insult hurled across some bar and if you pulled up the hedges and tore out the trees you couldn't leave things more barren, bereft and diseased and you can't bring things back no you won't bring things back anything you do now, anything would just be tactless now I can hear those voices coming up through the floor and that very same song is being sung next door and the sound of the sirens cuts the street outside tonight I want to stay in my room and hide cont'd

now's not the time to bring back the charm I know you mean well but you're only causing harm and that's just tactless.........
