Lots of energy. An amazing performance by all; especially Levon, Rick and Garth. The horns added to the sound. Awesome!
What a great performance! This is a treausure. This song is one of my favorites from The Band, the particular rhythm and the horn section brings such a unique blend I haven't seen anywhere else. Lol I'm not a music critic, words fail me, but as Robbie said, it's the "gumbo spice" that does it.

That was actually a Kick-Ass performance by the boys! Levon sounded amazing and Rick was playing with more energy than he did in his 20's!

To have followed this group from it’s beginnings is to have been lucky to have been alive to witness their stuff! Perfect name for them: The Band!!!

This song was written by Danko/Helm/Robertson though. Perhaps you were thinking about When I Paint My Masterpiece?

It's possible he'd had cataract surgery or something. Apparently didn't affect his playing!
I cannot understand why Robbie Robertson would not have wanted to join these guys.
