Snorky can't talks, but doesn't means he's stupid, simple, emotionless and dependent. So far, he's a lot smarter and wiser than Drooper who was deemed to be the "stupidest" of The Banana Splits in the 1972 TV movie, "Banana Splits In Hocus Pocus Park".
