genuinely one of my favourite sara berry animatics i've seen. i love the way you depicted our main girl sara. a lot of times people go the mean girl route (which is fair) but the idea of her being seemingly a sweet girl who snaps and completely changes her personality is honestly more horrifying. especially seeing the other characters reactions as she starts to change until she's at the point in the end where she's willingly to kill her former friends to get ahead. and honestly none of that would've had as much impact if you hadn't done such a good job making this animatic, so yeah. this rules

I absolutely love that extra touch at the end where it looks like they're in a courtroom and Sarah is staring at Julie and smiling like a deranged Disney princess and while we're on the subject my god her smile i love it rather than complete psycho the innocent one I think stand out more over that's if she truly believes she did nothing wrong someone needs to make a slasher film about this woman

I love the motif of the mirror used to show how Sara’s own worst enemy ends up being herself!!! And the way at the beginning when she had bitten her lip she’d been distressed- and wanted to keep her composure only for her in the scene soon after paralleling that one to completely have disregarded any self awareness she had

I love how she reaches out for the crown as the cops take her! It really shows how much she obsesses over being prom queen, even as she’s being arrested!

The way she smiles at Julie screams “Look at me! I did it! I’m prom Queen! Are you happy for me?” To me

I absolutely love how all their hobbies are somewhat connected to their deaths, that’s such a fun little detail 👏🏽👏🏽

She cycles through outfits, like Mariana diying via chemistry Sarah dresses up as a scientist

I don’t know if this was intended or not but I just realised at 1:52 with all the girls scores the higher they were up on the leader board the more gruesome their death was.

I love the detail that the first time she got a bit crazy and bit her lip she got scared, cleaned up the blood, put on lipstick and have a fake smile but the second time she got crazy she instead used the blood as lipstick and smiled because she was completely crazy at this point and was genuinely happy and determined to win at any cost.

I'll never get over these. I adore the two-facedness she displays towards Julie right up until the moment she poses a threat. The visuals are also just *chef kiss*

There's something abput the way you depict her; her smile, the fact that is obvious how the words of her father damaged her, and how when she used he blood as lipstick show she lost her mind that not only make me Pity the dead but...Sara herself... Poor girl...Poor insane, mentally unstable girl.

I find the detail of the last scene with her school poster with the word murderer on it interesting because it shows that after everything they now view Sara as a psychopath that murdered everyone and turned her school publicity into ridicule to never let her or others forget what she did that night… Very nice detail

At 4:19-4:22 I love how she's turning her head side to side to stray jacket or asylum great art

I love how you actually made her a sweet person at the beginning! I know popular culture says otherwise, but in my experience when someone is popular it's because everybody genuinely likes them. I know lots of people who act like Sara (beginning Sara ofc)

This is definitely my favorite Sara Berry animatic. From the genuinely sweet-looking smile to the smooth transitions to the scenes with the blood, this is just superlative

Dude as someone who has seen most of the Sarah Berry animatics out there, this one is top tier.

I like how you did Marianna's death! It's a very different death than other Sara Berry animatic's I've seen.

I love Sara's reaction in the end, happy 😁 unlike the other animatics with her being crazy, just shows how mad Sara really is

Love the setup of Sara having a habit of biting her lip when stressed and the payoff later on!

I gotta say I really like the bit of backstory you hinted at with Sara Berry. Their's really only one other animatic who humanizes Sara Berry like that. I love the design you gave her as well. Though I an confused at the lip bleeding part, does she bite them when she is angry making it bleed? Or is it something else?

It’s more like an anxious habit! Similar to how someone might bite their nails or pull their own hair. My interpretation is that it’s a result of the constant expectation to be ‘perfect’ weighing down on her. I’m glad you enjoyed the animatic!

Glad that this song is still getting animated even now. Yours is a very good one too; I liked your Julie design, the Stepford/Barbie-esque look of Sara, her dad’s emotional abuse going back to childhood, and the sheer rawness of Sara’s mounting pressure and fall into insanity. You have a gift. I hope to see more of it.

This captures the song so amazing the frames are perfect and expressions are spot on the death scenes wow and that part in the beginning ahh amd don’t get me started on the smoothness of it wow

This is one of my new favorite Sara Berry renditions! This one does an amazing job capturing just how on the edge of it all she was from the very start, taking a habit of biting her lip as a physical sign of her 'imperfection' that she wipes away and smiles over, then turning it into the realization of darkness, a very visible moment to show her snap at realizing blood can be getting what she always wanted--no need to hide it with lipstick when it CAN be the lipstick. And her face at the end, realizing she WON she WON, and she can even smile the way she does at Julie at the end because she WON and in her head thats all that matters--thats an amazingly illustrated arc, well done!

A very small detail, which may not even be intentional: "As you crowned you queen of high school land" The second you, normally, would be yourself, as she's the one doing it, but i:instead it's you, which is what you would put when saying *they* crowned you queen of highschool land, like it's being done two her. It's like she's half aware she's giving herself the crown, but simultaneously believes it was given to her. Probably not intentionally done, but a detail nontheless!

That smile of hers reminds me of Harley Quinn but with her hair loose. Very well done!

I know everyone is commenting on details (and I'm late to the party) but I'd like to ALSO comment on a detail. At about 2:58, when she pictures the other girls, they all have the same smile as her. It gives me the vies of, I don't know, Sara projecting that they all want the crown as much as she does, so she has to fight for it. It's how you know she won't settle for anything less than brutal murder. :D

Le fait que Sara signe le platre de Julie avec un bonne chance rend le tout si horrible. En français on parle de la pétasse de service pour se type de personnage et cela va complètement dans le personnage. Surtout que Julie dans votre animation est encore plus gentille et douce, heureuse de se voir dans les nominé mais ne pensant à rien de mal et encore moins à lui "volé"' la couronne. Elle est désolé d'être en tête et tente de faire un pas vers Sara. D'habitude personne ne fait "sortir" Sara de sa rêverie, qu'ici elle est surprise par la police et se débat et lutte pour la couronne, même alors qu'elle la gagner et qu'il n'y a plus de Prom avant de retomber plus bas pour ne pas avoir à faire face à ses actes. Elle sourit si jolie à Julie terroriser dans la voiture que cela fini de manière merveilleuse votre travail !
