Bakhmut... This name became a symbol of bravery and heroism of ukrainian nation, which is at war with one of the biggest countries in the world for an ENTIRE YEAR. No words can describe that hell which our defenders have to endure. Many people compare current situation in Bakhmut with the Battle of Verdun (Verdun's massacre) of the first World War. One main difference is there's less people taking part in Battle of Bakhmut, but the levels of destruction are much higher... Seven months have passed, and against all odds, our defenders keep on standing! True cyborgs!

Follow up comment: After thinking about it I guess if there would be a video including the song I mentioned there would not be much video footage of specifically Taiwanese volunteers in Ukraine, so it might insted includ footage of volunteers from all over who has decided to fight for Ukraine. Might be more fithing with the song's lyrics

Stable nations don’t need to deal with PMC’s making a run for the capital. Add on the burned Tunnel and the free Russian legion and something is clearly rotten in the state of Moscow.

The war effort is going on, Russia is about to take Adiivka too, and it will soon join Artyomovsk. There's no silver lining for Russia haters here. @@TheBigWall3284Russia won’t collapse. Credit to them they’ve built their economy to be fairly resilient to sanctions. Adiivka however is a failure for them, It’s been on the frontline since the war began and it’s been standing for now. Plus with casualty and equipment estimates at around 5-1 in Ukraine’s favor it doesn’t seem worth the price they are paying for it. Add on the Ukraine was on the attack that year and it seems it would have served them better to sit in their trenches, deal with the attack and actually train their troops. Admittedly this is an armchair general’s thoughts but still a 5-1 loss ration isn’t good.

Issue is, the English adjective "based" got transformed into a noun "base" in Ukrainian, as a noun is easier to use in our grammar. But I don't think in English the word "base" can be used with the same meaning as "based", right? Ultimately, there isn't a "correct" translation here, I just took a more creative interpretation. The official translators did a great job!

@@danielprw512 As far as I know, Putin didn't say rhis, but Simonyan claimed a war with Ukraine would only take 2 days and Solovyov said it would take a few weeks. I think it's not a stretch of the imagination to say that russia didn't expect the war to last so long.
