No it not trickleing down its just numbers am a bahamian the bahamas is very expensive it have a lot of large resorts u are right.

Thank you for watching, it’s the same thing all over the Caribbean, people are working in hotels that they will never be able to afford to stay and working in restaurants that they can’t even go on a date. I worked in hotels in Jamaica for a long time and I used to hate when I’m talking to tourists and they say I’m lucky to live in such a paradise, but they don’t understand that it’s only paradise if you have money 💰

My views.. this is one of the main reason why im probably the only person in the Caribbean who iscnot a fan of international tourism . I see it as exploitation, just like working on the cruise ship. They wont pay their folk the wages they want t o pay us..if Caribbean was predominantly" wite "countries , it would of also be a different way of life here. So i not kissing no of them @$$ for a dollar. Those is the reason why the keep pushing tourism in the caribbean. Every country on earth is spectacularly beautiful. I am so glad that my country isnt as popular as Jamaica and Bahamas. I have other reason why i will never support international tourism as the mainstay of the region..

I understand your views, and I think if people are determine to support the local economy the best way to do so is to rent Airbnb and to buy from local restaurants, that way you really get to know the Caribbean and the money 💰 stays in the Caribbean and not go to billionaire.
