Hi Matt, I was also in the audience (front row on the left with the cap)- also turned up a tad too early! (Optimistically assumed I'd have to fight to get in for a seat) I really enjoyed the show, I think it highlighted your creativity on the spot and whether or not it was the 'classic' Bad Spot experience, it was utterly entertaining which was great in my opinion. A shame to hear about the technical issues for an event you were already worried about, but happy you also enjoyed it. Would be great to have a little gathering next time, talk shop a bit. Expo was super busy this year, but think I'll definitley go again next year. Also went and got my hardcopy of Starforged on the way after not finding it at the event! (Living off a pdf this entire time). Also very glad that one chap saved Archer's jacket😁

Sounds like you were put into a ... Bad Spot by the organisers. But like our beloved Archer and Luna, you improvised to make the best of a bad situation! Nice one. And super excited for the next episode of the show.

I’m glad you posted about it and I’m really glad I gave it a miss as I don’t do mobs and would have hated it. Hopefully next year will be bigger. It sounds like a presenter’s nightmare a bit like the overhead projector not working when you have a PowerPoint presentation. Just what you need when you’re nervous. I’m looking forward to hearing the audio and comparing to the highly polished version you usually create. I think your point about being a writer v an actor is interesting. You also have created a good taster video for the event.

It was a good event and certainly introduced me to the podcast. I was just disappointed that Bradley Cooper didn't make a guest appearance partway through.

Sadly I missed your live session because I was double booked with another talk on Horror in TTRPGs that was on at the same time, but I look forward to seeing the session online. This was the first EVER Con I've ever attended so yeah as someone who hates large noisy crowds it was a bit of a trial by fire in terms of large rooms crammed with people(!) Luckily I was there with a friend who was exhibiting so I had a stall I could duck behind for a breather now and again :D

Yeah it was intense! I’m really pleased we booked somewhere off site to stay so we could escape and decompress. It was a lot!

Hey Matt! I was in the audience (sorry, it was my fault the dog sized glowing insects ended up hench). I really enjoyed it, and from my POV the episode came across fine, the only thing i would have added is at the end, archer saying to himself "hang on i've got a great idea", as an homage to the best (and literal) cliffhanger ending ever in a movie😅 You can definitely put me down for a seat at next years show, but this time lets prearrange a quick meet up after the event somewhere out of the room.

Hench was just too far! Yes I’ll definitely do it again. Hopefully expo don’t think I’m bad mouthing them too much.

Can't wait for the episode, even if it's not your usual style! Would you evercl consider running a oneshot of Final Girl solo? I don't know anything about the game but I'd love to see you branch out!

Thanks! Final Girl looks like it would be fun, but it is a board game so not sure how it would translate. I’ll definitely be doing more different games on the channel this year tho!

I was there at the front in the grey and white scif outfit and baseball cap. Saved archer's jacket, I did (but also responsible for him being on a volcanic planet in the first place).

Yes! Great work on the jacket save. From your outfit, I could tell you were a purveyor of fine space jackets, so it was only common sense to step in. Thanks for coming!

@@thebadspot I cosplay the main character from my books, so had to make the entire set of overalls by hand. I definitely wouldn't want to get laser-blast holes punched through it (not the least because it would hurt, too).

Tales from the Drift submission when?

If you decide to do another show solo, may e throw it into a different world, with a one-shot mentality and give it a name like bad spot goofy show. (I wasn't there, and I don't know what you did. Thats a terrible name, but gets my point across) That could make it less pressure to feel like it all needs to be connected and have a lot depth. It would just be a fun chaotic show that you could involve your audience in as well.
