Im glad its fanmade. Pixie looked stiff in all the panels and Brutus and his "brother" were often copy pasted from each other with small details changed. The story wasn't the greatest as well, like in a real scenario those two pups would have been left out there if they didn't have enough food for them. It's war.

Three years later I finally realize why this first comic bugged me when seeing the puppies. Their ears stand upright. German Shepard ears fold until months in.

Amazing comic. When Brutus started off by saying "was" my brother, I started hoping that I was mistaken and Julius was living with another veteran and the bothers got together monthly for a playdate. That's the ending I wanted, but the actual ending explains a lot.

I enjoyed the names of the character. Brutus and Julius was catchy. At first I thought of some sort of betrayal but what I got was something honorable and bittersweet. It was enjoyable, and I am still new to the series.

Just wait till you see the grave scene for all of us who have seen it and some of the others that he talked about his past this hits very hard it explains why he goes to such extreme lengths to keep pixy innocent and safe So go watch some more and see how he protects her even from herself and how much he loves and cares for her then come back and you will see why we all are almost in tears

The voice acting and music makes this comic seem really derpy. Like, it's talking about all this dark stuff but makes it seem a lot lighter then it is.

Idk how much this backstory can be considered canon since it was another artist who drew it, the characters act even a little out of character. Brutus would never tell Pixie about his story, not so soon... Since he didn't eden tell her about what war means. Good voice acting thought!

I cried to, not because of the comic, its because the enemy dont hesitate in shot dogs, EVEN if they're Stray dogs that runned in the wrong direction, humans are dirty, but, we are only a vírus in a little planet that is smaller than a sandgrain compared to the REAL ones, we will die, and nobody will miss what we have done, we are ants and they the real humans

The fact that Brutus has a dark life last time and that now he is trying to protect this cute little cat called Pixie with his life. Just like what his brother did just for him. R.I.P Julius.
