Hey - a little message to say... I'm sent these boxes to review as honestly as possible. I think if I 'absolutely loved' everything, I'd be doing y'all a major disservice. I'll always keep things as honest as possible for you. I'm not offended about the Gillyweed - it was just a playful joke, I love that item (It's on my potions shelf right now!). As for the egg... I personally didn't like it, and that's okay. I wasn't mean about the artist and / or factory who made it - I just thought it wasn't great, and had seen one exactly the same either in this box or another box before. That's all folks!

I wasn't very impressed with this box either.. and previous boxes were so nice! The bath products are not my favourite, but I guess they are comparable to bags of tea, it's not a display item and it's very subjective.. I feel you were not your usual bubbly energy and people are reacting to that fact.. I'm not offended if you aren't impressed!

The bath chunks are literally what they say. It's just all the bath bombs that didn't stay as a ball, and fell apart, that someone decided to not waste and made the bath chunks out off. It's a great idea.

And with you as a inspiration of speaking your mind; girl, that gillyweed looks like other creations I have found as inspiration on pinterest from 2012 and 2015. Don't shade another artist for getting inspiration from someone else when you obviously done the same imho. Also it's limited options for what one can do to make it look recognizable. But she was salty about it (she didn't even mention the gillyweed in the end of the video with all the other items) , and that's ok she's human like all of us. But to pretend it was playful joke and not owing up to that one small weak human moment doesn't make it better. Imo.

It's just cherry's personal preference. There probably will be other people out there who find they like the egg and that sort of thing. The same as if cherry liked something she gets in a box others may find its not their sort of thing. Differences on things we like and don't like wether we share the same opinions/preferences or not is what sets us all apart!! 😉

There is a way to provide an honest opinion that doesn't come off as mean. She absolutely does not need to pretend to like it, and all of her points before that one comment were constructive and fair. But it just seemed like she enjoyed calling it ****. Which comes across as mean spirited.

honestly it kind of surprised me because i have never really heard her comment on things in that way like yes it sounded a little mean but i don't know how to feel about it.other youtubers might be like that all the time yet it has never really seemed like cherry's type

you know, I don't mind "bitchy" reviews, in fact I find them quite funny, but it did feel jarring coming from Cherry, who usually makes such an effort to stay positive. it got me thinking that I've never heard her criticise geekgear so harshly, and they've had their share of poor quality items in their box (which is why I canceled my subscription). I don't know if it's conscious or not, but I think since Cherry has her own boxes now, she's become a bit more biased in reviewing others and I don't think I'm liking it.

Now I actually agree with your thoughts on the egg, it wasn’t a well produced item for such a heavy priced box. But I only wish you didn’t call it “shiz”. I love and want your honesty, that’s why I go to you and am a subscriber. But that was definitely not something I ever thought I would hear you say, especially because you are a creator yourself. I just wish you could have thought about the creator of that and have put it more respectfully, rather than scrutinizing it so harshly. I still definitely agree with your thoughts on it, just wish you would have worded it differently...

In our modern society everything is about comparing, so with her creating her own boxes she steps into being critizable for it too. She had ideas how to make items of previous boxes better befor. Now there are a lot of people may having this opinions on products she crafted with her heart - so it may be stressful, it may be self-securing to critize 'more'. It may just be something bad happends befor that video and stressed her and she was still in that mood when filming. Who knows.

Interesting box....agree about there definitely being hits and misses. I value your honesty and would never say 'change that"....just remember that words can be damaging that's all. Keep spreading the magic 🙂

Easy. Absolutely not. I've always given my honest opinions in every unboxing - even before making my own box. I am sent these in return for my honest opinion, that's the entire point of these videos - to say what's great (which there are many great things about this box) as well as to discuss the bad.

I'm glad to hear your comment about bath products in boxes. Several boxes are doing them these days, and I hate getting them. Bath products are indeed something very personal, people have different skin, you can develop easily allergies to them. What the point in receiving a bath bomb when you don't own a bath tub, or if you are someone that's very mindful of the environment... :/ I think the Azkabox is kind of 50/50, they have some great items (the quill and the Rita jar are great), but others are total miss, and since it's a box on the pricey side, it's a but of a bummer.

I have to agree. I think the boxes are cool with a lot of thought put into them and a large variety of items, but I have no bath (only a shower) at my house and sadly an item like that would just sit on a shelf for me. It's cool for those who can use it though I guess!!

I’m really sorry but am I the only one who is not ok with the way she spoke about the things she didn’t liked? And in my opinion it’s not ok to say publicly in a video that you think a company stole an idea from you. Yes, she made a DIY about it but there are also people who do not follow her and maybe want one. Yes, it is similar but that just means that people have the same idea of it. There are thousands of DIYs online - and I’ve never heard anyone brag as bad about an DIY as her.

I have felt like that in a lot of her later videos. She doesn't even seem to want to do these unboxings anymore and bashes A LOT, whereas in earlier videos she always was really nice about not loving something, without completely bashing someone else's work! I'm not really comfortable with watching these anymore... Especially if this is her 'real' and 'honest' self... Hope she just is just having some off days...

Not everyone can afford the best replicas and we still love the magical world so we will get what we can from less expensive creators. My sister uses an olive green Army Backpack. Looks super cute with all the patches. I really liked the spew patch.

I personally wouldnt buy a box like this because, 1. I couldnt use the bath things because my skin reacts to them... I cant even use lush stuff. And 2. If something is a very simple handmade thing I feel like I could just do it myself

Little unnecessarily negative about everything in this box people have worked hard to create the things in this box and as someone who creates their own sub box you would have thought you might have been a little kinder rather than just dismissing things that were hand made and probably took along time to do so, I suggested you rewatch your video and put it into context, imagine someone was reviewing your products from your box like this and took one look at your mandrake painting and said the same about that as you did the print from the box, I understand you have to be honest that doesn't mean you have to be unkind. I expected better.

Everyone had an opinion. I personally do like the egg, at least the idea of it, but I agree with cherry. Dragons in that bag would have been better or an egg that was a little better? It’s cute but again, not super high quality? They included 15 items. Maybe including less products of higher quality would be better. Yes, cherrys not pulling punches, but she doesn’t love everything and it would be wrong to pretend she likes everything. Maybe she shouldn’t have said shit, but it definitely looked like a mass produced artists idea. Spend more money on less items. My two cents.

I personally love how honest you are in these videos! Shows you're not one of these fake influencers who will lie and sell you any old s***. These boxes are really expensive and you want to feel like you're getting good value for money which I don't think you do personally in this box

its honest review and i completely agree with cherry on the items she disliked, they looked so half assed made for how much you are paying for the boxes, the items even small should be good and detailed.

well i think one thing is being honest but it's completly different when the person is being kinda mean and a little disrespectful you know ? i understand liking honesty, no one likes a phony, but it's nice to have people's feelings in mind when commenting on the products

I can sort of understand the shitstorm, but at the same time. As a creator myself, the products Cherry were very honest about (and yes it was honesty because it was a genuine reaction) was something I could have made myself and better. I don't get these boxes but I see where Cherry is coming from, it didn't look nice. I've looked up the price on this box and it isn't cheap and I would be very unhappy getting collectors items looking like this... My first reaction was the same to watching, bad choice of words, perhaps, but it was said and she chose to keep it in the video because it's authentic. And about the gillyweed... She was playing around and yes there are similarities, the girl has humor! Of course she's not the first person making a replica, it was a joke and I thought it was funny that they were similar because nowadays subscription boxes and companies steals works of creators so I saw it as funny and a humorous sidenote. Also, since Cherry has done unboxings for such a long time and also started creating some herself, she knows the work that goes in to them and she knows about quality. Cherry is being true to herself, sounded more harsh then before, maybe but honest opinions aren't always perfectly put!

I think it was the way she said it not what she said. It's fine for her to dislike things, but communicate that in a respectful way.

Great honest review! The only thing that caught me off guard was Vegard being in the room and the bleeped comments. My 6 year old was watching along with me, so I would just like a little warning if there’s going to be language, even bleeped language. I watch Vegard’s videos, & love him, but I don’t watch them around my littles.

You should get a throw pillow for your office, specifically for patches that you recieve. That way you can have them on display like your pins.

This is why I don't buy subcription boxes cause I know I won't like and use half the items and to me its not worth the money

It's interesting that you say you like stuff what you can put in shelfs, that was i didn't like in your geek gear box, there wasn't any product what can be used.

So interesting seeing how people’s preferences differ, as most of the stuff in the box seemed like things I would really enjoy, even the ones that Cherry wasn’t such a fan of. Although I must say replicas are also my favorites

I like how honest she was because she is speaking as a person who knows how much work goes into boxes like this. The egg was shit and I personally could tell that she was joking about the gilly weed. Would y’all rather she only say nice things about a box she got for free so that you end up buying it and realize most of the products are crap? Didn’t think so

I was trying really hard to order this exact box and I couldn't. Now I am happy I couldn't. I think this is the weakest box from Azkabox. Also my country isn't represented at all as I expected

so, i'm italian and i'm obsessed with harry potter since when i was 7. i found out about your channel something like 1 year ago and sinced then i started to watch all of your videos because it's the best way to listen to some good english. today is a life changing day because i come to know the origins of the wizarding trunk boxes XD i love it

It's true, the quality on these is not the best but you could simply say it's an okay item, we can all see it so let us decide if we like it or not, no need to be this judgemental on a free box and point out passive aggressively that they stole one of your ideas then paint it as "honesty" You've always been a bit snobbish which is fine but now it's like you look down at other subscription boxes and creators and think of them as competitors.

I’m not sure why making a personal negative remark about me was necessary... so thanks for that. 😓 I definitely do not look down on anything since I have my own box, these are review videos where I’m expected to state my opinions. The Gillyweed was just a playful moment, it certainly was not serious. Anyway have a lovely day I guess.

If you have an candle that was in a dark colored glass, take the labels off your smaller candle and put it in the glass one after it's been used up. That's what I do.

Honestly you guys, alright she was a bit harsh with the egg artist, and yes I felt bad but come on ! I’m making polymer clay as well, and I’m no artist, and I can assure you this was poorly made. But maybe the artist had to rush it out because of the number she/he had to make for that subscription box ? Moreover, you all might seem to forget that Cherry is a collector. I mean look at her background, it’s full alright ! Regarding the amount of replicas and Harry Potter themed objects she has, she probably gets more and more selective with what comes in and out of her shelves right ? Otherwise it would be too crowded ! Anyway I feel like I understand both Cherry and the comments down below, and I don’t feel like judging. Ps : English isn’t my first language, please forgive the linguistic mistakes I may have made.

Technically if they did take inspo from your gillyweed diy video, then your video completely served it’s purpose, no? It shouldn’t be tea, it should be happiness. You put a video out there that someone used for it’s purpose. To create a bottle of gillyweed for display. Which is what was done.

Everyone's comments about you acting differently are a little strange to me. I feel like you have always been the same when reviewing products. I felt like this year you were extremely over the top and bubbly about all of the boxes you opened, but perhaps that's because you have genuinely loved everything this year except maybe a few items! Don't let the comments discourage you. I think honesty is the best policy, and there's no need to fake your reactions or comments just to make other people happy! Keep up the amazing channel, Cherry. I love it it so much!

i only use hard soapes because i can buy the ones that are wraped in paper or come in a little box and fluid soaps are often in plastic and thats not verry nature friendly i dont want to make plastic trash just because i wash my hands

Wow I’m so surprised of the items you said you didn’t like! I honestly thought this box looked amazing!! I love the items they included that were based on the books and overlooked in the movies (like Winky for instance💕)!! Plus I loved the letter from Hermione about S.P.E.W! I thought that was amazing and so original! Loved the potion even though I totally understand why you wouldn’t! I honestly enjoyed that this box had so many different type of items: usable items and items we can put on our bookshelves! 💕 Overall I loved it and I hope they have more boxes available soon for new subscribers cause I would love to try it! 😁

I think she's always honest about her reviews she says it's always going to be hit or miss because everybody has different preferences. Sometimes people are not going to like how she comes off and says it but you know that's also a different preference for everybody. You cannot please everybody. And if you try you'll go nuts. I think she does a wonderful job

It seems everyone is divided on the attitude in this video. If you truly want to continue this direction then now's the time to announce that you will just be telling it how it is and your audience can adjust itself. You have changed dramatically and I started following for the positivity and because my 6 year old daughter loves you. Theres others like me who may choose to unfollow you if this is what you decided to continue doing. But there are others who may choose to follow you for the uncensored feedback. All I know is you seemed a little more slytherin in this video then we ha e ever seen you.

I too have 6 years old girl, and I felt uncomfortable with that "fu*kboy" comment. We loved Cherry's content year ago, a lot.

I know this is late but there shouldn't have been anything wrong with people commenting their opinions when Cherry literally asked in the outro if we agreed with her. She asked straight up if we agreed or not on her opinion of the box. That is all. Lol

If you collect up all your patches you could sew or iron them into a blanket? If they parches don’t have an iron on backing they all you need to do is get some ironing tape and put that between the patch and the blanket and iron. The tape melts and sticks the patch to the blanket. You could also use have a bag, t-shirt, jumper or whatever else you want instead of a blanket but a blanket is cool to decorate. I have a girl guiding blanket covered in patches for girl guiding.

The quill and the jar with the beetle where my favorite as well 💚 I also almost teared up when I saw the print of Fred and George 😭

Will everyone please stop hating on Cherry and how she reviewed this box?! It’s just her opinions on everything and you don’t need to argue with her just because you have a different opinion on the products. And plus, if she had just said she likes everything, that wouldn’t be any help to anybody.

Hi Cherry! Maybe we should split boxes-lol! I'm a bigger fan of the usable items like candles and soaps because I like to use the magical rather than ordinary for everyday life but I get why you like the display-ables (is that a word?). I don't really do displays other than books. That being said I'd give my arm for one of your glass memory vials! And I would add to my HP Christmas tree. Best wishes!

So many people are calling Cherry rude or “bitchy” for her comment on the egg but that’s what we’re here for? If she pretended to like everything in each box just to please everyone (like some youtubers do) I wouldn’t be interested. The thing is, it’s nice that someone has made that egg but even to just go one step further and paint it or have a mini set of them all would’ve been amazing. It does look like an afterthought and something you could make yourself, not what you’d receive in an expensive box. I value Cherry’s extremely honest opinion with these boxes because they are a lot of money!
