I came for Markiplier. These other people I don't know about but Markiplier is my idol. He's like the dad I never had. When my own birth father was always drunk when I visited, Markiplier and his videos was my escape from reality.

Asked once. Hearing those words from in the video would be like someone in a Royal family asking that. Imagine a Queen going to you, specifically _you_ out of anyone she could have spoken to but chose you and asking you if you are ok, how your day was, are you having a good time, are you having trouble with anything. I just ended up blanking out.

Why am I just now seeing this on TV?!

I’ve been mentally ill for my whole life, starting with OCD and anxiety then gaining all different types of depression and food issues and so much more. Yesterday, I was talking to my friend and we were talking about mental health and I admitted to someone for the first time that I’d been mentally ill for so long and that I’ve wanted to end my life before. She filled the awkward silence and I got to finally admit this. This is the most real and impressive mental health ads I’ve seen. Thank you

This ... that’s exactly what happens... the issue is not to talk but to be able to have that person to whom you will not stop at saying “ I’m fine “ , that will be able to sympathize but will keep it real with you and FOR YOU TO BE RECEPTIVE TO IT ...

This is a great ad! I love how you are spreading the word to have people not be awkward about asking someone if they are alright. A lot of people have that problem and i think you guys did an amazing job in showing that it is alright to ask!

The flipside of this is where the real struggle is, would love to see one covering that.

Ok but the irony is that this video is accidentally really awkward. Not because they are acting awkward but because they are trying so hard and failing. They are treating the word “awkward” like this fungible novelty. Do they even know what it means anymore? If my best friend runs over my dog the same day that he’s gonna ask me if he can date my sister, That’s awkward. Not just talking to a friend about feelings.

This is great. When I was struggling with depression, even people I wasn’t best friends with showing support in little ways meant a hell of a lot to me. From personal experience, it’s so so much better to have an awkward moment and a friend know you’re there for them than a perfectly normal conversation while they feel alone.

Just saw this commercial. All the feels.

It doesn’t matter how you ask, it matters that you ask.

this would be something mark would do. he really is a amazing man.

This is amazing, and i love it. As someone who struggles with mental health issues and has for most of my life, i just want to add that if you do tell someone that you want to help/are there to talk, reach out more than once, start that conversation more than just once. Because i found it felt more like people were doing what was expected of them and when it was never brought up again, i felt like i couldn't reach out because they didn't really care. When someone is struggling it can be really hard to reach out, and that continues even after someone says they want to help. But if the conversation is there more often it gives the person struggling more opportunities to talk about it without feeling like an imposition, and hopefully wont worry as much about the person they're talking to not caring. (but also please don't harass your friends/family, say it often enough but it doesn't need to be said every day)

I saw this on T.V. and I was blown away. This is powerful in a simple and quick way.

I forgotten to mention that I've not ever seen this commercial before and saw it this morning and it was awesome 👍 because I unfortunately have this problem and been suffering for years and thank you all for your support (the ones in the commercial) and trying to be more social with my coworkers and everyone else that I meet with

I’m so happy that they are raising awareness for this. At my school there have been 3 suicides over the course of 6 months, two of them ten days apart.

No matter how you ask. Hmmmm I beg to differ. Please don’t walk up to people and ask direct questions when you don’t really know them. For example, walking up to someone and saying “hey, you seem really reserved, do you have anxiety or depression?” No please don’t do that. It puts that person in a situation where they feel forced to be honest, but they may not be ready to talk yet

Why am I sobbing at this rn?

I have struggled with mental health for a while, and today wasn't a very good day, I was extremely depressed, didn't eat hardly anything, shut myself out from the people I normally talk to and really felt like a huge bother to them. But when I saw this, and saw Markiplier; the man who always made my day a bit brighter no matter how bad I felt. When he said he wanted to know how we were feeling I broke down and vented, although knowing damn good and well that he couldn't hear. I didn't care, I sound like a crazy fan now that I'm typing it out, but I don't care, his smile brings a smile to my face and he's just an all around relatable guy. I'm sure someone has someone else that they look up to the same way I do right? God I hope I don't sound insane...
