We used to see them fly over all the time in Dorset. I believe they were based at Yeovilton and were on training manoeuvres.

I miss the Waddington airshows. Great memories were well captured. The noise was fabulous 👌 as ever. Thank you for the memories. I think there's a song somewhere 😅

Me too, they were great days in the summer sunshine with all the thrills, sights sounds and smells of sweet jet fuel. Just wish they'd get it back on because it's such a good location for an airshow and defo my fav approach, the runway is so close 😁👌

Amazing variety of aircraft: seeing a Canberra, Hunter and Draken is fantastic. But the Vulcan is truly a thing of beauty...

Apparently that sound is caused by the airflow over the gun ports.

Just love the sound of the Vulcan. Was lucky to see one at Mildenhall in the early 90s and I could feel the vibrations from the engines on my chest.

They did that very thing...years ago me and my mate would stand at the end of the runway at Denham aerodrome. Was brilliant, until they stopped it. Now you can walk or drive past..buy cannot stop. Health & Safety culture in this Country is ruining fun. Soon, it will be against the law to 'have fun'

It is the Hawker Hunter from the 1950's that sound is called the blue note and it is caused by airflow over the gun ports of the Hunter

I know it's exciting to stand under the flight path of these aircraft, but why stand on the fence as well...you are just asking for the authorities to clamp down and stop people from standing there. Enjoy the freedom of standing where you want, but don't take the piddle. Would be a shame if they stopped it.

Awsome. Nice to see vintage aircraft. V bomber still futuristic today.

While in the USAF, I saw the thunderbirds, blue angels, red arrows, frecce tricolori and the French team, whose name escapes me, but nothing beats the Hunter. The Hunter's unique howl is a show stealer ! The only thing that comes is when I saw a Spitfire and Hurricane doing fast, low level manuvers......beautiful !

Thats the approach and glide path as the runway starts like 250 yards the other side of the fence. That is why its such a great place to view. No one is showing off. Well they are showing how to land aircraft.

Each aircraft is impressive, but the Vulcan steals the show with ease! So awesome! So powerful! So fantastically thunderous!.... Followed in second place by the Hawker Hunter. What a fantastic sound! 👌👍

Gotta say, although that day started out raining it got warm very quickly. It was a great air show, and the last I went to.

I would never believe there are people standing and being in the danger zone had I not seen it for myself with this video. It must create a lot of problems for the men and women flying the different kinds of aircraft. I give the crew a lot of credit for being able to continue with the mission they each are doing.
